google maps says this place closes at 8:30 pm, but when I went it was already closed. it seems they actually close at 4:00 pm. I ended up traveling 80 minutes back home, so it would be really helpful if the opening hours could be updated. This isn’t a complaint about the place itself, but it would be nice to improve the information so others don’t have the same issue.

Delicious hotdogs! The price was surprisingly affordable and there are lots of great toppings. A vegetarian option available too which greatly pleased my daughter. Thanks Kris/Chris (sorry don't know how you spell your name) for awesome service today and making a tough day a little easier for us!

Four of us came for a hotdog the other day. The woman on the counter was busy with another order and kept going in and out of the backroom. We waited and she never once looked at us or acknowledged that we were there. She appeared stressed and was trying to multi-task. I saw a special for two hotdogs on the backboard and tried to order them on the counter order pad--the price on the pad did not reflect the special on the board. So, we waited for her to take our order. The hotdogs were good. Here is a case where a part-time helper would be a great asset as one person can not handle the counter when they get busy.

We had our company picnic (50+ people) catered by Scotty’s Dog Shack and it was such a huge hit! They were so kind, friendly and easy to work with. Everything was just perfect, highly recommend!

The person was so kind and accommodating to my aunt's special needs. We had a great conversation while the food was being prepared. My aunt loved her hot dog and milkshake. Even walking to my vehicle, people on the street were commenting on how good the food I was holding for her looked. Highly recommend!!
First, let me say I loved this place. I miss Scotty. I hadn’t been in since he passed and I finally had the chance. When I asked a question of the older, white haired man who eventually appeared to serve me, I asked politely if he could please remind me which of the offerings were beef. His response: “This is a hot dog store.” That took me aback and made my heart sink. I couldn’t believe someone in this beloved establishment was being so rude and unfriendly. I asked him why he said that and he pointed to the dogs and repeated “Beef, beef, beef, they’re all beef.” I said not all hot dogs are beef in my experience and I was just asking. I left empty handed and disappointed that I no longer feel welcome nor comfortable at Scotty’s. I had been looking forward to going for over a year. I can tell you this is the opposite of every experience I had while Scotty was around. It's so sad he’s no longer with us, and I am so sorry for his family's loss - and for our community's loss, as well. *Edit: I just found out the business has new owners. The menu used to indicate which options were beef. And everyone there was friendly. Definitely Scotty’s in name only, and considering who they've hired (or who they are, if that was an owner), I'd suggest they change it.

I love their Housedog—2 for $15! The meat was amazingly good and the sauces and toppings that I had were perfect. Will definitely be back to Sidney just to try this.
