I needed ice to fill my cooler since I was off to a couple days of camping. Easy location to find down the road from the ferry with a couple parking spots. I didn’t get his name but the gentleman that helped me was friendly. Not sure if it’s common since I mostly get ice from the grocery store or gas station but he broke up the ice cubes since they were clumped up which made it easier to pack it tightly around my food. Saved me from having to throw it on the dirty ground! If you need ice or even water Simply Pure is definitely a good place to stop, stench your legs and get ice and water

For some reason not evident to me, I see many positive reviews about the owner. All of them about his water knowledge etc.Unfortunately, I had a very disturbing interaction with I presume the owner.On a Very quiet Saturday, I was accosted by him about "his" parking bay. I am physically disabled and he approached me in a very threatening and scary manner(especially as I was unable to move away). He forced me to move to a spot and it then took me one hour to reach SDM instead of 15 minutes from "his" spot.Anyway, he is clearly able to project an amicable and caring persona, as long as you are frequenting his business, which I will never do and I suggest anyone considering using Simply Pure Ice and Water in Sidney, to take your business elsewhere. Rather than support this horrible, two-faced disablist bully
