Most other starbucks in town are far better than the one in Sidney, not sure why?
The Location has a nice atmosphere and location but….
It’s slowest starbucks I’ve ever been to. Most of the staff move at a turtle’s pace, while people wait 15/20 minutes for a drink. Some of the staff are great but most are not very personable and be dismissive when they make a mistake.
The washroom was gross and had run out of toilet paper.
One of the most annoying parts is that they consistently either turn off mobile ordering or leave items on the menu that are not available when you show up.

Always plan to wait here, never quick. It’s a busy location and they just never seem to move at a reasonable pace. Location also doesn’t have a drive through. Would avoid.

Feedback for managers and owners :

The 2 stars instead of 1 is for the clearly overworked and unsupported staff. I waited over 45 minutes for my online order that I intentionally made so I could swoop in at the end of my break at work . My sandwich was made and cold , I asked to eat it (as I saw my name) and waited but my drink was no where in site five minutes before the end of my break. I asked the poor fellow for an eta and it was in the system but no timeline. I requested a refund as I had to go to work and even that took a very long time due to only one staff member with permissions. I have watched a high turnover of staff at this location, obviously due to the lack of proper training, support and staff members on the team leading to burnout and angry customers that I have seen be incredibly rude to the staff for the wait . This is incredibly unfair to the staff and the clientele and this falls directly onto management and owners not taking an active part in the proper training and support ( also cutting corners due to financial greed I am sure ). This is a business with a time-tested model and regimented training structure . This is so awful for the young staff members with little skills trying to get work experience for minimum pay. This is truly unacceptable when all the tools are there for owners to have a successful, efficient business. Staff should know it’s not their fault they aren’t given the support they need and they are doing their best. I apologize on behalf of the rude lady who sought a refund before me who clearly hasn’t worked a day in the trenches like you . They should quit for a more professional and supportive environment, especially when the wage is so low - not worth it!

Waited almost 30 minutes for our drinks and left without them. They do not follow the order that drinks are placed. When I questioned them why later orders were being made before mine, they didn’t have a clear answer and they didn’t appear to care. Terrible service.

I order my one coffee it took 20 minutes. I think it’s more than 20 minutes. I never seen that slow Starbucks.

This was the worst experiance I have had with a Starbucks for a mobile order. Order should have been ready by 10:50. When approached to ask about the order, I’m informed no one was watching the iPad with the mobile orders and they would get right on it. How can you run mobile orders if no one is watching it? I was to arrive early for my ferry when I stopped and ended up late for my reservation. I won’t do this again over here

I visit this Starbucks almost every day, and at first I thought the slow service was just an issue with a specific shift. However, it seems to be a consistent problem. Orders are often made out of order, and people who order after you frequently get their drinks first.

Store was busy when I came in at about 11am. There was a long line up and before ordering, I was told that wait time could be 10-15 minutes. I appreciate the heads up for the wait time. I was very thirsty and I could see they were very busy but when I asked one of the baristas (Filipino guy) if I could have at least have glass of water first, he was very helpful. I didn’t have the chance to get his name (Filipino barista). I ordered the Protein Latte-Sugar Free and I liked it. I was in Sidney to have a cup of coffee and I needed check some work emails before heading to Langford. This location is very clean. I will definitely visit this location again once I get back to Victoria BC.

Worst service I have seen in a long time. I ordered 2 drinks and 1 of my drinks was missed due to staff not know who will make the drink. They all just left the drink order in the queue having my order and drink dwell while customers that came after me all get there orders. When asking where my order was they started arguing among each other. 15 min later ask me what my drink was due to losing it in the system.

This is the second time I’ve gone to this Starbucks and for two drinks it took me 23 minutes! It should never take that long for them to make two drinks, while they are prioritizing online orders! I will not be back!
