Food was okay. But service was poor, I had a pork ramen that ramen was worthy.

We ordered a big meal ($105 with tip) for pick-up and were told food would be ready around 5 pm. I waited until 5:15 pm for the food to be ready, not a huge deal, Friday night, whatever, but when we got home, we realized we were given a California roll when I had ordered (over the phone) a spicy dynamite. My husband really wanted spicy dynamite so phoned them to explain and ask that they pls correct the order and make a spicy dynamite instead. When he arrived to pick up the dynamite roll, he was told they hadn't made the roll because they were sure I had said California roll when I placed the order. I definitely did not order a California roll (it was for my husband and he doesn't like California roll!) - but regardless, even if they were certain I had ordered a California roll, imho when we are paying this much for take-out, and it is a special occasion, could they not just have apologized and made the roll as requested, instead of waiting until my husband arrived a second time and then arguing it?! I was disappointed. Food also smaller portions for the price and less flavourful than J Kitchen. It is fine, but I was disappointed by the customer service.

I usually eat salty noodles but their udon tasted sweet which reminds me food I eat when travelling in Japan. Other than that everything came as expected and tastes just right (no crazy drizzling of those mayonnaise).

I used to love going out to lunch or dinner with my mom or my friend but service and quality have really gone downhill since covid. Feels like they forgot about you often when dining in or call ahead for pick up. I know it's been harder since covid but still! Disappointing!

Got 2 of the Shogun Bento Box.. 32$ each plus delivery and fees…

Nothing in the box was good except for the eel (of which you only get two little pieces), the Takoyaki legitimately tasted bad, the tempura was soggy and the miso was almost tasteless!!

Nigiris were very basic and the fish definitely wasn’t of a good quality.. the salmon almost tasted like the smoked one you’d get at the supermarket.

Extremely disappointing experience.

The miso soup gave me a literal life changing experience. I always thought I just didn't like miso soup. It was always kinda salty and fairly fishy for my tastes. But their miso.. Oh Lordy. It made me love miso soup. There was seaweed in the soup but it didn't have a fishy taste, and it was light and honestly a comforting flavour. The meal the soup came with, the chicken karaage house bento, was delicious as well. Fresh vegetables and prawn cooked perfectly into tempura, the chicken was crunchy, juicy, and full of flavour, a nice refreshing salad too, and with two orange slices that ended the meal perfectly. The portions were nice and big. My meal (I got a Ramune soda with it) came out to $24 before tip (I also bought some boba ice cream bars)

Food has drastically gone down hill, sloppy and falls apart

We have had some great food from here in the past but today wasn't one of those times. The Beef Don was so bad we threw it out after trying to chew through the gristle. The beef was stringy and simply not edible. The sushi tasted off, was on the chewy side, and not pleasant to eat. Overall simply the worst meal we have had from here in the last 2 years.

Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options! Anything there was with meat, there was a veggie option.

Good Japanese food. Tempura and sushi are all standard quality. Pricey but can't complain in this small town.Do NOT order chashu ramen here thinking it's actual ramen. It's just regular noodle soup. Their chashu pork is excellent but the noodles are soggy and the soup is thin and flavorless.
