Riverhouse breakfast was good. We had a combination of pancakes, skillets and traditional breakfasts. They were all good and a nice place to stop close to the hwy.
Amazing food. I couldn't stop eating, it was so good. Nice large meals too. Really good pricing for meals.

Why I do not recommend Aspen Riverhouse Restaurants We stopped in for dinner last night with our son and his family. Definitely a cozy atmosphere and friendly serving staff. Where the ball got dropped was definitely on the food. The burgers and sandwiches had no complaints but the fries we extremely salty. We also ordered the 50/50 chicken and ribs with mashed potatoes and the crispy chicken thighs with sauce and mashed potatoes. The 50/50 rib meat was semi dry and the chicken was hardly edible because it was overly salty and dry. And the crispy chicken thighs were not any better. We will not choose to dine at the Riverhouse Restaurant in the future.
Wonderful servers! Great food and service; Timely service! It was a great place to experience! Will certainly go there again.
Excellent Menu and the Staff are Friendly and Prompt.
While stopping at this restaurant from out of town My wife ordered pancakes. My wife cut into her meal and it was not cooked So we sent it back to be replaced. When the waitress came back to replace the meal She told us this is the way he cooks it.That if we order it again we should order it Well done! This cook must be inexperienced to say something like that. We come 8 to 10 times a year but we will be rethinking that Food must always be cooked Tim Ramey Dease Lake
My parents and I ate here while staying at the aspen hotel as it was close. There was no menu in the room, so I went over to borrow one to bring back so we could all decide. The waitress seemed very hesitant to lend it out, I do understand that they don't want to loose their menus, but if there aren't menus in the rooms of the hotel, which the restaurant is attached to, it should be expected that they will provide them to people staying in the hotel. Also the menus were just laminated paper, so not hard to make more. When the food arrived every meal was missing the sauce that was supposed to be included (nachoes missing sour cream and salsa, chicken strips missing plum sauce and ketchup, beef dip missing au juice) and when we went back to get them they seemed confused. Also the beef dip was ordered without the onions, but was not prepared that way, they were picked off, but I consider that poor service. Luckily it was a preference not an allergy and could be picked off. On the whole the food and service were just ok, and we'll probably go somewhere different the next time we are in town.
The food was good but very expensive. The service was good, but have never seen a hamburger worth $22 00 or 9 chicken wings for $18.00.
The blackened chicken here is amazing!!! Very friendly staff and over all experience is always well above par. I look foward to eating here whenever I'm in town.
Great food. Great view
