“The food was so flavourful and the portions are generous. We enjoyed a coconut curry paneer and a tikka masala special with chicken. When I asked for a spice level of 8 they accommodated well! The mango lassi was well made and a great accompaniment to lunch. The service was friendly and quick. We look forward to the next time we are passing through Smithers!”

“The pierogies (varennyky) were hand made and perfect size and tasted awesome. The filling was simple and the dough was just the right combination of softness and electricity. The bacon bits were perfectly cooked. The borscht was quiet sweet and not at all sour (like some people make it). It was beef based with actual beer cubes, just the way I like it, and everything had dill on it, like all Ukrainian food should. In short, it was perfect hand made, and home made, Ukrainian food. if you are passing through Smithers, you owe it to yourself to stop and indulge.”

“If you're from Smithers, BC or visiting from out of town, be sure to check out Blue Water Sushi. Date night, family dinner, or just craving takeout, this place has got it all. They serve up some seriously fresh Japanese food in a super chill environment. One thing I love about Blue Water Sushi is how they nail the quality. Every bite is a flavor bomb, and is just right. The vibe is laid-back, the service is friendly and quick. And if you have left any room try a dessert - they've got some unique options that are worth a try.”

“We celebrated our Anniversary here with very good friends, the staff were so lovely and the atmosphere had a very special and relaxed, cosy feel. We all enjoyed the Miso soup, tempura and some of the best sushi I've ever tried, we were also surprised with a incredibly delicious banana desert. This place is so amazing I'd give it 10 stars if I could!”

“Nic cage quote: "How in Zeus' BUTTHOLE" does this place only have ONE review?!?! I mean, I guess Canadians don't really use Yelp, or the Americans who come up here are old and decrepit and therefore also do not know what Yelp is. I swaggered in here one day, past the people enjoying their brews outside, bellied right up to the bar, and declared: I'd like a flight of beers. The lady was helpful and I got like 4 beers that were all very tasty. I asked about a Marzen and she said they were tapped out and she erased the chalk that said "Marzen" from that particular tap. I like that initiative! The bar was clean, except for a couple of people who I suspect were from Quebec. (Are y'all enjoying this or you gonna report me?)In summary: get in there and order a flight or a pint, sit inside or outside, and don't be an obnoxious American like me.”

“Hello, we went to Two Sisters this morning for breakfast and asked if they could make us a salad and sandwich for the road. No problem! Breakfast was terrific, the latte was glorious, the sandwich was enjoyed on Highway 37 and the salad was the main event at dinner in Stewart BC. A great place that is not to be missed in Smithers. Thanks so much for a great day.”

“Why I do not recommend Aspen Riverhouse Restaurants We stopped in for dinner last night with our son and his family. Definitely a cozy atmosphere and friendly serving staff. Where the ball got dropped was definitely on the food. The burgers and sandwiches had no complaints but the fries we extremely salty. We also ordered the 50/50 chicken and ribs with mashed potatoes and the crispy chicken thighs with sauce and mashed potatoes. The 50/50 rib meat was semi dry and the chicken was hardly edible because it was overly salty and dry. And the crispy chicken thighs were not any better. We will not choose to dine at the Riverhouse Restaurant in the future.”
