Host is unprofessional. Kept me waiting mid transaction, to stop his coworker from helping another guest, because he wanted to help that guest. Expected me to wait without speaking to me further. Even the other customer apologized to me, but your staff member was rude.

Really good sushi, a bit heavy on the rice for the nigiri but that's fine. All of the rolls were good. Ordered the supreme platter. Service once we were actually seated was good but the service at the door was poor at best. Seemed like a bit of chaos, maybe new staff not knowing what to do or how to handle multiple groups waiting for service. Would definitely go again.

Blue Fin Water in Smithers, BC was once a great restaurant and still is however, due to the actions of the young staff - I am writing this review. Saturday, September 21, 2024 was a very busy evening. But, we felt unwelcomed when we walked in the door with the girls side glanced to each other. The girls had a discussion before they would seat us, then gave us menus and water then our table was ignored. We waited patiently for over 15 minutes then left. This felt to us that it was obviously racism, especially the smirk we received as we left confirmed that it was racism. It is very hurtful and uncalled for. And service was given to every table around us. Your food is great, but due to this service of these young ladies we will not return. Although, we have been long supporters since the restaurant started in the old bus station/7 Eleven gas station, many years ago. My hope is that this is directed to the floor staff/servers by the managers/owners and hope this attitude does not become the norm. All the best as your sushi chefs are great with their food service and presentation.
