Would probably give 3.5 stars if possible. Food was ok but pretty underwhelming for the price. Place is a bit run down. Would not recommend unless you are really needing sushi.

This is the best restaurant we have been to in Smithers. Authentic, impeccably fresh japanese food. Plus, the owner and the waitress were extremely welcoming and helpful. You can reserve in advance too. Highly recommend!

So, came to town for an appointment. It's been a long time since I sat down and had lunch by myself. Jason thanks for recommending Masa Yama it was exactly what I needed. Sat down had some tea. Lovely. Bowl of miso soup, boom great. Then had the lunch special dynamite roll. It was perfect. Service was as it should be, not too much but still good. I loved the atmosphere Thursday lunch nailed it.

We celebrated our Anniversary here with very good friends, the staff were so lovely and the atmosphere had a very special and relaxed, cosy feel. We all enjoyed the Miso soup, tempura and some of the best sushi I've ever tried, we were also surprised with a incredibly delicious banana desert. This place is so amazing I'd give it 10 stars if I could!
