Food was delicious although the price for each roll made the bill pretty steep for 2 people. Despite that the variety of rolls made it difficult to choose just a few, we wanted to try them all. We'll definitely come back to try more of them.

The prices are reasonable, but can be a bit pricey, but many specials are offered. Masa makes authentic Japanese food. It is really delicious. I recommend the fish and sake, not the ramen. We have eaten here more than thirty times.

What a charming place. We had a delicious meal. The quality of the sushi was all very good, particularly the tuna sashimi. The waitress was super friendly, attentive & the food came out quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others & I am just sorry that we do not live in the area, as we would love to visit it regularly.

This is the best restaurant we have been to in Smithers. Authentic, impeccably fresh japanese food. Plus, the owner and the waitress were extremely welcoming and helpful. You can reserve in advance too. Highly recommend!

I am so glad I tried this restaurant before leaving Smithers. I had the nigiri combo with dynamite roll and miso soup. Tasty miso soup, lots of tofu too. Definitely try the toro and unagi nigiri. It's in an old building so the floors are very creaky. Food is worth the price!

So, came to town for an appointment. It's been a long time since I sat down and had lunch by myself. Jason thanks for recommending Masa Yama it was exactly what I needed. Sat down had some tea. Lovely. Bowl of miso soup, boom great. Then had the lunch special dynamite roll. It was perfect. Service was as it should be, not too much but still good. I loved the atmosphere Thursday lunch nailed it.
