Just came to check out the little shop! The gf/vf choco coco torte was so delicious. I just wanted 1 bite and I couldn't stop! I'm not gf nor vegan, but I always lean to anything with coconut on top. And man, I would have bought a whole pie!

The employee was very nice too!

Fantastic breakfast

I absolutely love Island Tarts. These are some of the best pastries you'll ever have, way above the level of quality we get to expect in a small town like Sooke. The pricing is on the low end compared to other cafes in Sooke. For example, their version of avocado toast with balsamic comes with an avocado rose that any instagram influencer would lose their mind over and somehow costs less than a mediocre sandwich elsewhere in Sooke. The owners are incredibly hard workers, world-class chefs and excellent humans beings. My only complaint is that it is set inside of a hotel lobby instead of its own place, which makes it less viable for cozy get-togethers and business coffee meetings. Island Tarts deserves better. :)

I love coming to this local gem of a cafe! Not only is the food amazing and high quality- the people who own it and work here are as well! Specifically the barista who wears the heart glasses— she goes above and beyond! She will definitely bring a smile to your day !

Everything is amazing, coffee, and tarts.

The lady taking order was super super rude. May be she don’t like to work or something else don’t know. I was just waiting for other guest like how she’s is dealing with others. She was the same with other one to. Then 3rd same disrespect and insult full behaviour with 3rd guest. So bad. Food was good service is the the worst. If you wanna make your day good will say don’t come here. Employee may gonna ruin it.

Loved this cafe for morning coffee and hot cocoa. Ordered the tomato soup with focaccia bread and my child had bagel with cream cheese. Super yummy! Service was absolutely amazing!! Great little place to sit and people watch in the hotel lobby.
