“A nice little brewery just outside of the small city of Sooke. We got to try out some craft beers here, plus get a free tour behind the Bad Dog brewing station with an employee explaining their process. It was satisfying for the drinks, and educational at the same time! My favourite was the Peel, and my least favourite was the Kona because that was the strongest and most bitter ...The place wasn't busy when we visited, with ample indoor and outdoor seating. There's also a cart selling food outside, and washrooms. Being surrounded by greenery and nature was nice too. It's worth driving up here if you're looking for good craft beer in Sooke! ?”
“very friendly and welcoming staff, pickup order was ready in 15 minutes and the food was absolutely delicious, and very filling!Kid-friendliness: cheap, yet filling meals, also picky eater options”
“Great building and great beer. The seating inside was a little awkward and felt cramped. The patio was well set up and open. All the beers we tried were well done and the service was good even though it was bar service only.”
“Where to start!!!! The service was exceptional, very welcoming and helpful. The food was out of this world. I know good coffee is good coffee, but this place does it right. It is a must to have on your places to go to whether you live there, visiting or just passing through.”
“We tried the calamari and the prawns and they were both so good! An amazing value during happy hour! Also Erin makes a mean old fashion. She took so much care in doing it right. It showed in the flavour. She definitely made our night, so we had to come back again when she was working a couple days later.”
“Just enjoyed a wonderful early Monday dinner at Route 14.Delicious chowder, in house fries and salad, great service, and a bottle of B.C. wine. Highly recommend .Thank you!”
“Always a great place to go for a snack, Coffee, and some conversations. Everyone is very friendly.Parking: Laundromat close by, do your laundry and go for a great coffee or tea while you wait for your clothes to wash.”
“Wild Mountain is one of the most special restaurants I’ve ever visited. From the idyllic setting looking out over the water next to the ingredients they grow in their table-side garden, to the thoughtful and expertly crafted wood fired dishes, it’s a top tier experience. Their willingness to support local farmers (right down to the grain for their pizza dough) is absolutely admirable. Their staff are always friendly, personable, and generous without being overbearing. The cocktail list is as seasonal as the rest of their menu so expect a treat to match the weather. Their focus is primarily on sustainably farmed wines from BC, made without adjuncts - it’s the perfect foil for their delicate but vivid style of cooking. I can’t wait to go back.”
“Fantastic place! We ordered the fish and chips, seafood pot and chicken ciabatta (3 people). Our server Karen was super nice! Made great recommendations on what to order. Highly recommend! We saw lots of seals and an eagle outside as well.”
“Meat eaters and vegans were all very happy here! They offer vegan cheese and veggie ground "beef", and are happy to substitute or put sauces on the sides for folks who didn't want as much spice. Warning--the burrito bowl was MASSIVE! The service was really prompt and friendly. All in all, a great place for lunch!”
“Fantastic variety of comfort/Asian food cooked in Japanese style, which is consistently delicious. We’ve been getting takeout here for years, never any quality issues. Very friendly couple runs the place, and are dependable for pickup times. Highly recommend for takeout.Favorites: Beef yakisoba, chicken katsu, spicy fried chicken, fried dumplings”
“Stopped by this charming food truck, serving the best comfort food in sooke. Sandwiched in between a surf shop and brewery. We had a pulled pork Mac and cheese and a grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was like taking a delicious cheesy train to heaven each gooey bite was delectable and the portions left us full and warm. Absolutely the most flavourful and delicious tomato soup I've ever had and the grilled cheese was done to perfection 10 out of 10. Can't wait to come back.”
“Hara Sushi at Village Mall is a definite go to if you are looking for delicious Korean food...their extensive menu will satisfy all tastes....prices are very reasonable and service is upbeat and friendly...it is not a large place so best to reserve ahead...the secret is out, some of the best sushi on Vancouver Island is right here in Sooke!Vegetarian options: Full vegetarian options for lunch and dinner.”
“I love this Sushi but wanted to rant because they aren't open at the hours listed. Went there today about 5:20 and closed already when said open til 6pm. Please don't publish hours if they aren't correct as people will make other plans. Thanks!”
“5/5 stars. Shid it would be 6 stars if possible. I grew up in the slums of Surrey, where the gang violence is great and the Indian food greater. My buddy and I ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan, and let me tell you, it brought me back home. Every bite was like a flashback to the good ol days. Thank you Indian Delight Bistro, I recommend this establishment for their great eats that leave you wanting to come back for more. I live in DT Victoria, and I'd make this drive just for some butter chicken and garlic naan.”
