“We had a delicious dinner here and enjoyed the lovely view of the Saanich Inlet and surrounding areas. We ordered the Chateau Briand beef tenderloin for 2 and it was done to perfection served with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes with parmesan fries as well. Service was excellent.”

“A genuinely lovely high tea experience. What stood out immediately was how thoughtfully they are to accommodated dairy allergies. Something many places still overlook or handle poorly. The interiors are elegant without feeling forced, and the overall atmosphere makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience.

The high tea itself was well-executed: balanced, visually appealing, and, most importantly, genuinely delicious rather than just decorative. It’s clear there’s attention to both detail and guest experience here.

“The chicken biryani was amazing! They do take out 15 min before close and we got some food late one night and wow we were impressed. Best biryani I’ve had in a long time with so much flavour. I got the shahi paneer and they flavour it perfectly and give huge portions with loud of paneer and rice!

This is our new go to spot. Indian food has always been a go to, even when I lived in Toronto. So impressed with the quality and taste. Cute restaurant too, I want to eat in soon. Belmont market makes it convenient. 15/10!!!!”

When they state porkbelly and you get shaved roast porkbelly that is not seasoned and because it is thinner than their bacon super chewy and distracts from the other flavours of the dish which are okay. If they rubbed it and braised the belly and cut proper thick slices for porkbelly it would do the oppisite and add to the dish 🥲.”

“HUGE RAVE!!! Wow. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Never been in this store yet. Today I had the best experience welcomed upon entry by the owner. Very very very nice man!! Explaining the homemade take home Enchiladas and other amazing looking Mexican food. (Which ones he preferred) I lost my bank card couple days ago and only had cash was a dollar short for the bill and get said no problem... Let me take the Enchiladas and the Tamale anyway. I felt bad cause I wanted to leave a tip.. I will be returning tomorrow to give the well deserved tip and the dollar I was short. Definitely will be returning to support this amazing local business!!!!”

“Who would have thought this little Sushi place would have such incredible sushi? The sushi is excellent and they have a bunch of gluten free stuff as well! The service is always great and the owner is the nicest lady! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I surely would!!”

“I've loved sashimi for almost 50 years, but I've never loved it more than at Peter's. This was the best sashimi I've ever eaten by a wide margin. They could charge half again as much and I'd still go back. It was amazing!
Also, the wasabi. Is it made fresh in-house? I've never had anything like it. So delicious.

“S.O.B. Nothing better than a nice flight of beer after hiking East Sooke. Lager particularly refreshing. A flavourful Red. Good bones on the Pale Ale. Coffee Porter a good end to the flight.”

“This little cafe is phenomenal! I'm traveling⛴️ from Alberta and have been here twice. The food has been fresh, tasty and I absolutely loved it each time! The latte and cappuccino was delicious! They have lots of options too so if you are vegetarian, vegan or even keto, they've got stuff for everyone. If you are keto there's a vegetarian quiche that I think would count as low carb. They have great sweets too.
They even have complimentary lemon water. I highly, highly recommend this café! It can be a tad bit pricey, but worth every penny! It's a good thing I don't live here, I'd come here everyday and my poor bank account would beg for mercy.

Plus the service was phenomenal too. This place is such a local gem 💕”

They don't sell coffee to drink though, go to Cafe Vosino next door.”
