A great spot for takeout sushi! Service was pleasant and quick. We ordered 6 different rolls and they were all so good! Highly recommend!

Ordered Spicy noodle roll and dynamite roll and spicy salmon roll. All were moist but lacked flavour and spiciness. The tempura in the roll was a bit stale and waxy tasting. All three seemed over-chilled which might have reduced the flavour. Maybe just an off day as other reviews seem more positive.

I love this Sushi but wanted to rant because they aren't open at the hours listed. Went there today about 5:20 and closed already when said open til 6pm. Please don't publish hours if they aren't correct as people will make other plans. Thanks!

Grabbed a couple ready to go rolls. They were great. The rice was still fresh. I’ve enjoyed the food here a number of times. Worth checking out in Sooke for some sushi to go.

Not the same owners. New guy owns it now. Prices have go way up! And Sushi quality has gone way down. Smaller portions now. So sad. We loved the older owners. Who ran it for over ten years. I have lived in sooke for over 12 years now. I somehow never tried ML Takeout until the other day. I ordered their sushi; California, chicken teriyaki, and yam tempura rolls. The prices are wicked, costed me no more than 15 dollars I believe. Their food is made fast and delicious with glorious presentation and user friendly packaging. It’s a family owned company and the customer service was the best I’ve ever received. The person who took my order was super punctual, friendly, and had their young daughter with them who would wave hi as their mom took your order. Overall the short time I spent there was very pleasant and I was super full after eating some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! Definitely coming back and if I could give more than 5 stars I would! Sadly I ate everything and it was so delicious I forgot to take photos.

Ordered a tofu and beef bebimbap. For $15 each you a few spoons of rice about 2 spoons of veggies and 1 spoon of beef and tofu. A bit of rip off I think!

Ordered the Beef Bulgogi Bimibap today for lunch and it was excellent. Only constructive criticism is that the portion size is a little small for the price.
I will be back, just might need to order more food.
Also, there was supposed to be a miso soup in my order, but no miso soup.

We ordered a tofu bibimbap and it came without the tofu. We called to let them know and all they did was ask us to drive back and get the tofu. Poor customer service. Food should of been replaced/refunded.
