The server was super nice, but that is the only good thing I can say about the experience. We both had sushi, they for sure just microwaved all the hot dishes (miso soup, tempura and edamame beans) we could hear the microwave going as we were the only ones in there and it was all awful, the miso was Luke warm and awful. I couldn't eat any of mine, even the edamame beans which are almost impossible to mess up was disgusting.The sushi was basically inedible as well. The rice tasted gummy and like it was made 3 days ago. The fish looked like it was from a can. We were basically just hoping to not have food poisoning later. We barely ate a few bites of anything. Warning to anyone who goes here, don't eat the sushi.

The new management ensures that the quality of food is at par, especially their sushi.. I'm a big fan of their Phad Thai (I love it with tofu) and ginger beef (extra crispy beef strips).. my kids always wanted the wings and banana tempura for dessert..look for the chef/owner Ruel, he will help you decide on what you need to try!

Went there tonight and was quite impressed. They did mess up a bit cause we got our appys more or less with our main course..But with that being said the food was hot and fresh! The service was excellent our servers name was Gabby she was exceptional, will definitely go back..My only one complaint is that's its very cold inside.A couple of space heaters would have been nice..

Wife and I were going for lunch Web site said they would be open at 11:30 . Got there at 11:58 and a lady came to the door to say that they did not open till 12::00 . See said she could not let us in because her boss was not in yet . Okay fine, we waited in the car . owner shows up 5 minutes late. So I go back into the restaurant and I ask the lady , Does the chief have to do any prep work first or is he ready . She said that he needed to do the prep , maybe 30min. When a restaurant says there open at a specific time it should mean exactly that . Ready to cook . We liked the food in the past , but this is a good way to lose customers.

Bad food. Bland, tasteless dishes. Sushi was mediocre and looked sloppy and unappealing. Never again.

Fantastic new owner and sushi master!Having this restaurant available for fresh Sushi takeout has been the best thing about 'isolation!"Our favourites for two, are the Wor Wonton Soup, 2 x Mixed Tempura, 1 Cali Crunch and 1 Coast to Coast Sushi rolls. This never fails to make us feel great!We live way out of town so pick up and take home for a delicious meal. We put the tempura in the toaster oven for 20 min on 200C comes out nice and crunchy and fresh, it's easy to heat the soup in the microwave oven, set out the sushi on some of our homemade Wabi Sabi Sushi Ware sets, and sit back and enjoy the best meal ever, all this in the comfort of your own home.When we saw the new FOR SALE sign go up this week we seriously freaked out, but have been told that they have a leasehold for several years, so thank goodness THEY WONT BE MOVING.Truly one of the best things to lift your spirts, is a 'Take Out' as above from the Sooke Bistro.Basil & Glenys Marshall-Inman
