Meat eaters and vegans were all very happy here! They offer vegan cheese and veggie ground "beef", and are happy to substitute or put sauces on the sides for folks who didn't want as much spice. Warning--the burrito bowl was MASSIVE! The service was really prompt and friendly. All in all, a great place for lunch!

Food is good , friendly staff but very slow kitchen. The back parking lot needs immediate attention. We were the second of two cars to round the corner slowly and hit a huge rock. This resulted in our tire being completely blown out and having to be replaced. The car in front of us did the same thing and sustained damage to their bumper. Drivers be warned and management - it’s time to do some work on this parking lot so your patrons don’t have this experience.

We went on cinco de mayo (May 5th) and had the specials the steak tacos were exceptional and loved the jicama salsa. Also had the shrimp mole with loads of shrimp served with rice, warm tortillas and yummy mole. I wanted dessert but there was no room, service was good and the restaurant was very busy. I read some of the reviews and am disappointed that this new ownership (almost 3 years) has to wear the bad reviews of past ownership.

This is a great find in Sooke, with inside and outside seating, right in town. They have an extensive menu with lots of choice, and can accommodate gluten-free and dairy-free needs. The food is fresh and interesting. Service is friendly and quick. It has become our favourite lunch spot in Sooke.

Our group stopped here for lunch while visiting the area. It was a bit past lunchtime, so it was not busy. My husband needed to make an important Zoom call, and the staff kindly let him sit at a back corner table by himself. We ordered many different dishes. I had a BBQ pork burrito. It was good, although I wouldn't call it "authentic" Mexican. The flavors were pretty toned down, perhaps for the Northern palate. The service could not have been better. Our server was absolutely terrific. Prices were reasonable. It was a very enjoyable meal.

Just a bit off the main highway, easy parking at the back, enjoy outdoor or indoor seating. Pumped up Latin music gives a fun atmosphere. Server was busy, but easily managed everyone-taking time to joke around with each table. Food was delicious. Well made, and ample in serving size. Take out available.

Googled restaurants in Sooke to find a restaurant staying in Sooke for a wedding. Found this gem. Arrived at a busy time, but they were still able to sit our party of 4. With no wait. We ordered a variety of food and each dish was delicious and they didn't have any problems accommodating my picky eater who didn't want certain things with his meal. What truly made this a great experience was our waitress, she was funny and engaging she had our moody 14-year-old and our 10-year-old laughing. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food.
The food was fresh, tasted authentic, and their salsa was AMAZING. We tried their top two most spicy salsas. I highly recommend the verder (the green one).

Our amazing experience started as soon as we walked in the door. We had called to see if they could accommodate a table of 10. We were told they do not take reservations but that they were not currently very busy. When we arrived they had already set up a table for us. We had 4 adults 3 teenagers and 3 littles with us. We ordered an assortment of dishes and they were all absolutely delicious! So filling, hot and tasty. What made our experience even better was our waitress! She was funny and engaged with our kids right away and she won them over with an unexpected dessert at the end of our meal. We are wishing we would’ve went here at the beginning of our trip out here so we could of gone back multiple times.

Took the TA recommendations and dropped in for early dinner. Window table looking out over Sooke harbour. Personal service by Karyl right away. Ordered the shrimp salad, yum! Kathy had the chicken tacos. Good size servings to share. Well worth the visit and we'll return next time we pass this way.

Wow, what an amazing experience, twice! The prices seemed a a touch high for Mexican but once we received our food I realized our mistake. Two entrees and an appetizer was way too much food for two people. We learned our lesson and the second time we ordered more wisely. The Pollo Burrito was huge, delicious and very filling. The chicken was shredded making it a juicy scrumptious bite each time. My wife had the Tostada Stacker which was on the appetizer menu but is easily a delicious meal in and of itself, multiple layers of ingredients. Finally we had a “small” nachos. Man… I’ve had nachos all over Canada, and this had to be in the top 3, it was incredible. Well presented and not at all the usual nice toppings on top and a bunch of empty chips on the bottom. A few days later we shared a large nachos and while upon first glance it didn’t seem to be much bigger than the small it was slightly bigger, definitely heavier, and even more toppings underneath the top. Would definitely recommend. We did have a bit of a wait both time for our take out but quality takes time when the locals know where the good stuff is. Well done!

Was crazy busy with only two servers working- the one who took our order was scatter brained and after one hour of waiting and no check-ins, we inquired as to how much longer it would be. They realized they'd forgotten to put it in and said they would cook it right away. By then we were way too hungry and resorted to . . . . . ugh . . . . fast food.
