Beers okay. Would be better if they had the food truck open the same hours as the bar. Showed up at 7 on a Saturday and wasn’t able to get food

Very good beer. Cool, dog-friendly patio space. Really nice folks to chit chat with, a damn-good, community building space. Thanks for all you do S.B.C!

Great building and great beer. The seating inside was a little awkward and felt cramped. The patio was well set up and open. All the beers we tried were well done and the service was good even though it was bar service only.

Super friendly service. Had only one beer, the lager. It was good. Nutty finish. Pad Thai food truck in parking lot. It's super good!

Great stop on our road trip, loved the fries

Barley wine was exceptional. Bar tender was very helpful about description of all the other fine beers they produce. We had a flight in addition to the barley wine.Best to walk to your next stop since some of the beers have high ABV.

Stopping at Sooke Brewing, on a warm summer side-trip to the Westshore, is a moral imperative. After seeing their award-winning Barleywine featured on CTV News, we made a pilgrimage to the source. If a delicate pale ale married a nice, 11.5% alc table wine, their offspring is an overachiever. Award well-deserved. My tea-drinking buddy truly enjoyed an entire glass paired with a pad thai from the food truck. With most beers, she takes a baby sip then cringes, so a more outstanding endorsement of this unique brew is not possible.I tried a flight of their other offerings: All quite refreshing with an appreciable range of hop balance. Outstanding, service-oriented reception from the staff. If their woodsy, country chic taproom had a waterfront view, it would be beer utopia.

Joss helped us plan our meals out for tomorrow and gave us some excellent drinks. I'd say the lager is the best I've had!
