I took my sister out for a birthday lunch at The Copper Room last week… it was out of this world! The food was delicious and the wine options were extensive and excellent! Lindsay and Luca went above and beyond to make our lunch special.. thank you SO much! We will return for sure 💕

The Good: Our server was very attentive and pleasant, no complaints there. Beer and wine were good. Bread was delicious.

The Bad: Where to start? Firstly, the soul of the previous Harbour House has been sucked away and instead replaced by a coat of white paint. There's absolutely zero charm, and the garden is a shell of its former self. I was expecting to be seated in the main dining room, but instead we had to opt for the Copper Room. We were seated in a very odd location right in the middle of traffic and this soured our dining experience. The place was empty and I have no idea why we couldn't have been sat in a secluded corner. I had the sablefish croquettes, and they were quite bland and uninspired (not to mention tiny!). The menu was VERY small. The maître d' was incredibly creepy and was hovering around and reminded me of a used car salesman. I know that they've just recently re-opened and that there's a lot of work to be done menu and decor wise, but I can't say that I will be back until these are greatly improved.

"I recently visited Sooke Harbour House and was blown away by the stunning renovations. The blend of historic charm and modern elegance truly elevates the experience. The food was exceptional—every dish felt like a masterpiece—and the ambience made the entire stay feel serene and magical. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top notch. Worth the wait. Beautiful and tastefully decorated dining room and patio. Thoughtfully curated and tasty bites that include house made bread, which did not disappoint! Definitely worth checking out

They finally opened. Not a long list of menu, but high attention to dishes’ presentation, prices seem reasonable, a lot of staff at the place. They’ll also launch a hotel services in mid

Lovely experience this afternoon. Went to Sooke Harbour House for happy hour. Tried the dry apple cider and paired it with the smoked sablefish croquettes and the honey glazed pork belly. The cider was almost champagne like and so refreshing.

The new owners have gutted the place and removed any Native charm the original place had, instead of trying to incorporate said designs it was all repainted white and even the totem pole was removed. All people who previously would go to this location be aware that nothing of the old place remains as its been white washed more than a Disney Fairy Tale.

I have been making an annual retreat for myself to Sooke Harbour House over the last several years. I have a very demanding career and I always look forward to an early spring hiatus in the "Edibles" room at the hotel. I love the quiet and serene location next to Whiffin Spit, where one can take a stroll along the ocean and view wildlife or sit on the beach with a book and breathe in the refreshing sea air. I love the beautifully appointed, quaint and comfortable room with fireplace. Every evening I could have a soak in the outside bathtub and listen to the sound of the ocean and enjoy the special little extras such as the delicious evening cookies and a sip of port. I have even had seals slide up the grassy slope towards the patio door early in the morning! The restaurant has delicious local foods, some even grown onsite and the menu never disappoints. Please don't change this beautiful historic setting too much! The character and atmosphere leave this property in a class all on its own!

After THEY canceled my reservation on June 5 due to COVID-19, no notification they had done so and NO REFUND, NO RESPONSE to emails.

I had to put down a night's deposit for two rooms when I booked. They closed, and no one will respond to my emails.

Respond to emails and refund cancellations . Covid 19 is no excuse.
