My partner and I stopped in for dinner on Sept. 10th. It is a nice spot and the food very satisfactory for sure, and the service was very good. I think you have a very good company representative with Sara. She was very pleasant and cheerful and added to the enjoyment of our visit there.

I just toured the East coast and hit every seafood chowder bowl out there. Stickleback is right up there in the top 3 easily, it might even be the best. Shame I live in the Okanagan otherwise I'd be there regularly.

I am only giving it a 3 as, we could not partake as the only dogfriendly area was not in the facility and needed to order takeout. The venue it self looked great inside and would have loved to partake in the view and ciders but not without our doggo.

What better on a sunny day in September than to sit on a terrace overlooking the water ! Excellent seafood chowder! Friendly service! Recommend !

Food was edible but not great. Disappointing because the menu looked really promising however the “smash burger” was not crispy and lacked flavour, I would have preferred a classic smash burger over their rendition with pulled pork and garlic mayo. My wife got the salmon burger and we were shocked to see it looked like frozen salmon, she said it wasn’t bad but you’d think a waterfront restaurant in Sooke would have fresh fish. Service was very slow and they forgot to bring our drinks until we reminded them when the food came. Good location and one of the only options around, would maybe try it again in the future

One of the best patios on the island! Had a quintessential summer caesar here on the patio and it did not disappoint. I must note the service by Sara who had the best vibes and made for a very enjoyable experience!

The view can't be beat.
The food is perfectly serviceable, but definitely not top tier. My family enjoyed our entire meal, including the spicy tuna tacos, fish and chips and poutine. That said the tortillas were cold and store-bought, which always makes me sad. The poutine was salty, but I like that. The fish and chips was surprisingly toothsome, something that can be hard to find and I also enjoy.
The staff was super friendly, and were fantastic at giving suggestions on things to do in the local area, going above and beyond .

Stickleback Oceanfront Restaurant is in a stunning spot right on the ocean, with gorgeous views that make the atmosphere unforgettable. It’s the kind of place where you just want to sit, relax, and enjoy the scenery. The food and drinks were average — nothing exceptional, but nothing bad either — and the beauty of the location more than makes up for it.

Had a wonderful dinner date with my boyfriend on my way back from the sooke potholes we watched an otter from the patio and had amazing customer service from our server Sara! Nice casual place to stop for a good dinner and good views thank you!

So for starters, food and drinks are fantastic.

The server had attitude even though we hadn’t really even said a word to her, and the food took over an hour to get out, when the food came out, there were no presets on the table.

The bus girls/hostesses were trying to set up a table right beside us and asked us to scoot our table down, so we did and my wife’s glass of wine spilled (which we still got charged for).

Even though this all was kind of ridiculous the food was good so I hope the chefs get a piece of my tip!
