This place has great food but now they blast terrible pop music from a station that has loud annoying ads on it as well. Totally kills the vibe. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been in a restaurant where I’ve heard advertisements on the music playlist.

If you like sushi, you will be disappointed. Not tasty. Had a combo of rolls, tried the karaage chicken, and some nigiri (ordered for pickup). All tasted bland and also the portions were small.

Dropped by while charging our car. Very friendly and took time to match our dietary needs. The sauce was very special and not just any teriyaki sauce. Really enjoyed our meals.

Menu from the original days is gone
Staff was young and slow and unfriendly
Plate had a paper napkin on it from the kitchen that got soaked and then blended in with the food
Tables were covered with dirty dishes

I had a really good experience at this store. The food is tasty, and a staff member named Ikya was very friendly and helpful. He treated me with respect and made everything easy. Great service!

Came here for lunch while driving from Vancouver to Whistler food was good and service was fantastic. Girl at the front was so helpful and kind even though they were absolutely slammed.

When is closing time not closing time? When you’re Samurai. Twice I’ve been before closing but the kitchen has closed. First time I asked when’s the cut off for takeout? 9:20. So today I get there at 9:15. “Sorry we’re too busy preparing other orders, kitchens closed”. Pick a time and stick to it.

I am a local who has eaten here many times over the years and this is the last time. I have been here twice in the last month and the quality has fallen off a cliff. Both times the tempura was cold and the batter tasted old. The miso soup was barely warm, the salad had very little dressing and the portions have all shrunk. Yikes😳

I was really disappointed with my experience here. The prices are way too high for what you get, and the service was surprisingly bad. The server, a Caucasian girl, was extremely unfriendly and completely expressionless the entire time. On top of that, I ordered a miso soup and was shocked at how tiny it was – just a small amount of broth with only one piece of tofu floating in it. Having lived in Vancouver for years and visited countless sushi restaurants, I’ve never experienced service and quality this poor. Definitely not a place I’d recommend or return to.
