This restaurant deserves negative 5 review. I used to buy Seeraga samba biryani regularly from this place. Chef Karthik used to be so kind and make a biryani which is close to the taste back home. But looks like the restaurant management kicked out the chef and post that food taste horrible. Food quality is second part but the service and way the owner (I don't his name, may be Dina) treat us is horrible. When we complained why biryani is so blunt and meat is so dry, it used to be good before. Is chef Karthik not there? He angrily said if you don't want to eat biryani just get out of this place and go and get wherever you find better taste.

Is this a way to treat a customer?? People avoid this restaurant at any cost to save your money and dignity.

Wait time was so long . Only one girl for service .beverage served after eating the main course. Virgin drinks were in coffee cups. Needs more attention towards customer service and presentation.

Food is good when the owner cooks. But wait times are atrocious.

We ordered a mutton biryani family pack, and my friends and I loved it! The mutton was tender, and the rice was flavourfull. I would definetely recommend their mutton biriyani.

I tried to avoid giving a bad review the first two times, but after being disappointed a third time I cannot hold back anymore. The first day you made us come all the way after I even called and confirmed that biryani was available, only to find it was not. The second time we ordered “Chennai Biryani” and “65,” and the third time it was “Prawn Chettinad.” Every time, you have deceived customers by using South Indian names for dishes that taste nothing like what they are supposed to be. The biryani was not biryani at all—just pulao that even a simple homemade Chennai biryani would easily beat. The so-called 65 was soggy and tasted like Manchurian, and the Chettinad prawn curry was just another generic North Indian gravy. Do you even know the spices and methods that define a true Chennai biryani or a Chettinad dish? If the chef has never tasted Tamil Nadu food, then why mislead people by using those names? Maybe the people giving good reviews have never eaten real Tamil food, because anyone who has would never call this authentic. The food tasted okay on its own, but Surrey already has plenty of North Indian restaurants. Coming here expecting Tamil-style food is a complete waste of time. If your goal is only to please the majority crowd who prefer North Indian cuisine, then at least rename the dishes honestly so that people like me won’t be disappointed again.

“We had dosa at Sri Nallan Anjali in Surrey and the food was really excellent. The taste was authentic and pure South Indian. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made – it really felt like home-style cooking. Highly recommend for anyone craving real South Indian food!”

I've been a big fan of Nalan's Biryani ever since it operated as a cloud kitchen, and it was my fav biryani in Vancouver. But unfortunately, today's Chennai Biryani was a big letdown. It tasted more like tomato rice with chicken rather than authentic Biryani. On top of that, the portion size has noticeably reduced (depth of the box), and the complimentary bread halwa is no longer included. Really disappointed with the overall experience this time.

I came here after work because I was craving dosa so bad! Such a good decision, this is such a calm peaceful and chill atmosphere. It definitely fulfilled my cravings and I might just start coming here weekly after work! Thank you to the great staff for great service and great food:)

Among all the south Indian restaurants in and around Vancouver, this one is topping the list for me.
I ordered Ambur mutton biriyani (jeera samba rice), chicken killi parrotta and idiyapam with goat paya. Every single dish was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely come again. The wait for the food was extremely worth it. All dishes tasted freshly made and felt like home.
I drove 20km to get here and i will easily do it again 👍🏻
