I recently visited Barcelos Chicken Grill, and my overall experience was very enjoyable. The restaurant had a warm and casual atmosphere with a clean dining area, making it comfortable for both dine-in and takeaway customers. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful when explaining menu options, especially the different spice levels.
I ordered the flame-grilled peri-peri chicken with rice and salad. The chicken was juicy, well-marinated, and grilled perfectly, with a rich smoky flavor. The peri-peri sauce added a nice balance of spice without overpowering the taste. The sides were fresh and portion sizes were generous, offering good value for money.
Service was fairly quick, even during a busy period, which added to the positive experience.

I could have made a better gourmet experience at home. This is the first and last time I will be ordering at Barcelos. Absolutely appalling quality. Do better chef. I Do not recommend.

I’ve had a good experience at Barcelos every time I’ve visited. The food tastes great, especially the veggie kabab and grilled veggies The place is clean, and the service is efficient. The food quality is consistently good, portions are reasonable, and the flavors are always on point. The staff is polite and the service is quick, even during busy hours. Overall, a very reliable place for a tasty meal.

Barcelo’s is a good place for dining in. The chicken is very good, and we love the onion rings. I would say the onion rings this time were not up to the normal standard - seems like we got the bottom of the bag and more looked like fries rather than rings. Both of us had the 1/2 chicken - sides were coleslaw, yam fries, and grilled veggies. Mains were delicious. Atmosphere rating of there due to seats were in poor condition, but the washroom was probably cleanest I’ve seen. I’d give 5 stars aside from seating and onion rings.

Absolutely delicious Portuguese chicken! The chicken was perfectly grilled—juicy on the inside with a smoky, charred flavor on the outside. The peri-peri sauce had just the right balance of heat, garlic, and tang, adding so much depth without overpowering the meat. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, and the portions were generous. Easily one of the best Portuguese chicken meals I’ve had—can’t wait to come Back!
