BELOW average. For the price?! It’s a major rip off. This is the worst sandwich I’ve had. You can get a better sandwich at the grocery store. It’s dry, but even toasted, basic ingredients, the turkey tastes like someone’s dry leftover turkey. How does this place not realize there are far better places with better prices. Found a bone in my sandwich too. They need to improve their sandwiches or powder lower their prices. 2nd time trying their sandwiches and never again. It was worse than the first time.

I work for a school and we use Big Star often for our staff lunches (70 sandwiches) The staff at the South Surrey always do an amazing job. They are on always on time, the order is correct, and the food is tasty. It is obvious they care about customer service.

Vegetarian options: I ate number 29 sandwich it was very tasty . I like the combo test of Siracha mayo and garlic mayo. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends so they can enjoy it also and I think it deserves 5 stars.

I had been looking forward to trying Big Star and it was a complete disappointment. I ordered the #12 Corned Beef, Marble Rye Bread, Swiss, Deli Mustard & a Pickle for $18. For that amount I was expecting something fresh. The Marble Rye was like day old store bought bread that was dry and had very little taste. The corned beef wasn't thinly sliced and also a bit dry, and a skimpy 2-3 oz portion. I have tasted better Swiss Cheese from Kraft and the mustard had no body. Overall it was low quality, low taste, with little meat, like something from a cafeteria. I was expecting an actual Deli sandwich for $18, but this missed the mark completely. I can make better at home with grocery store items.

Average at best. We were definitely expecting much more from a specialty sandwich place. The price would have more palatable if the food was as well. Portions aren’t huge…again, if the food quality was better that wouldn’t be an issue.

Ordered delivery on DD at 7:35pm only to have it cancelled 25 minutes later at 8pm with no phone call or any other indication except a notice on DD.The food is usually great but, prices have jumped, and they were already high. The order came to 60$ (EXCLUDING delivery/tip) for two large sandwiches with 2 cookies (no drinks). I had used a discount code to try to make it less painful. Now I have to wait for a refund, which will take 3-5 business days.If they don't want my business, I'll take it elsewhere from now on.
Interesting new take on “fast food”. I got the #14 which is their version of the BigMac burger. I was expecting the sandwich to be a bit better quality but it’s just a below average sandwich shop. The roast beef was dry, the bread was so stale it tasted plastic, overall yuck. Definitely not a “feel good” meal more like a sad-wich. I’d rather go to The Carvery.Parking: Lots of parking available

$17-18 for a very mediocre sandwich. The bread is not good, does not taste fresh, tastes like preservative bread you get from a grocery store. The toppings were good, but the sandwich was dry and pretty lackluster. Also the 12 inch was maybe 9 inches at most. Wish I took a picture to prove it. At the new prices, will most likely not be going back.

This is what $20 gets you? Stale bread, a couple tiny slices of Sysco roast beef on a “large” (read:tiny) sandwich, with some disgusting “dip”?!? No wonder they’re empty at lunch! Terrible!
