Went here with my mom for coffee and breakfast bagels. The inside has a cozy, heritage-style converted house vibe that’s really charming. The coffee was good and the food was solid.
However, the service could use improvement. The staff seemed disengaged, often on their phones behind the counter, and tables weren’t being cleared promptly after customers left. No one checked in to see how things were going. If you’re asking for a 15–20% tip, the level of service should reflect that.
Overall, nice atmosphere and good coffee, but the service needs attention.

This is a hidden gem in Cloverdale. All of their drinks and food are great, the atmosphere is amazing, and the staff who work here are super friendly. It's my home away from home! :)
The only challenge is parking. You sometimes need to park up the street a few blocks and walk back. If you have mobility difficulties, the stairs are also a challenge to navigate, but they do have a ramp on the left side (it's a bit hidden, but it's there!)

I moved out of West Cloverdale 16 years ago, but keep going back just for this coffee shop (previously Wired Monk). Hands-down my favourite. Beautiful heritage house with fireplace and cozy seating indoors, as well as a large garden patio and covered front porch for outdoor seating. Staff has always been friendly and the drinks/food are good.
