We have been to the location in Surrey many times and have had take out from the same location. The food has always been very good, unfortunately our visit last night it was terrible. I had ordered the Halibut and chips and I believe I got cod, further the portion was tiny by any reasonable standard. I was with my granddaughter and wife I didn’t want to complain to the server as she was very nice and attentive. However I believe what the restaurant should be made aware that it only takes one bad experience to change the opinion of a customer.
Kid-friendliness: The kids menu was fine for my 7 year old granddaughter who loved the chicken strips.

South Surrey location substituted our Halibut with Cod. "TWICE" obviously thinking we wouldn't know the difference. We were frequent diners at C-lovers in Langley before we moved-very impressed at that location. NOT GOING BACK TO SOUTH

I had my first experience with C-Lovers at the North Vancouver location early this week; they were so good that I decided to try out the South Surrey location 4 days later.
Upon arrival, Abby greeted us warmly. My husband and I both got the AYCE F&C. The food came out promptly and it was piping hot. The fish was delicious; the batter was nice and light and each piece was coated delicately.
The service was attentive, the restaurant was clean, and I what I found most exceptional and appreciative was the service staff wiping down all the condiment containers after each table turnover!!
It appears the food is consistent in all the C-Lovers locations but the attentiveness, cleanliness, and service stood out most at this South Surrey location. We highly recommend them to everyone and we’ll definitely be back!

I decided to try C-Lovers Fish & Chips after reading the many 5 star reviews on their web-page. The product fell short of a 5 star review. The Chips looked anemic and the fish was in many small parts and mostly consisted of batter. I lived in the UK for 40 years and know what good fish and chips taste like. I have tried fish and chip shops all over the lower mainland and the way they are prepared is wrong. The fish should be in one piece and the chips should be cooked thoroughly until they float on top of the oil and a decent size. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the young woman who waited our table was a star.

We ordered four pieces of fish on top as my husband ran out of fish. He only ate two. I had two left of my original order. Anyways, we asked to pack it up and she argued with us that we could not have the fish. Then I said fine. He's going to eat the fish so he ate the fish and I said these two pieces are my fish. Then she told us we couldn't have the fries. I'm confused. I will never go to this restaurant again. This is ridiculous in a time where food is very rare and people are starving and you're going to Chuck my fries out. That's ridiculous

Very nice staff and fast service, just very loud and not a place to chat as it’s hard to hear. Other than that it’s a great place with great food and I’ve only been there once so it’s possible it was a one off thing but that was just my experience.
