Acceptable enough, the restaurant provides a welcoming environment of eating , being attached to Surrey Central mall - amazing atmosphere evocative of indulgence.
There was only 1 server on at lunch hour. I eventually was able to order the quesadilla. When it showed up, there were about 10 taco chips on the plate. I asked where the fries were. The waitress said itcome with fries. It clearly says on the menu that you have a choice, and fries are one of the choices. After she checked with the kitchen and then with the manager, she brought a small bowl of fries and stated that they agreed to give them to me. There was no simple apology that we made a mistake. The implication was I was wrong, but they were going to give them to me anyway.I photographed the menu, you can clearly see that you have choices on what this particular section is served with.
Went on a Saturday afternoon.Food is ok. Typical pub food but my fries were cold and soggy.Service is ok. But felt like it was just the owner working there.Atmosphere is horrible. Really sad to see what this place has become it's basically empty all the time. Not a party vibe. It closes super early. They want to cater to the lunch crowd. One of the only bars in central area but it's very dead. They "now serve Indian food!" As advertised on all of their windows. That is not how you market a pub/bar. They could have drink specials or events or stay open past 10:00 on weekends but no... they think serving Indian food is the way to make this a popular bar.
Our server was very sweet - she was in training and very polite. The manager kept coming by and trying to take the drink menu from us though, which was odd - we kept having to ask the server to bring it back when we wanted to order more drinks. Maybe they were short on menus. I've come here quite a few times, usually the service is excellent. The food is good as well!
It rain like cat and dog out side , so we choose the Tea house for our lunch meeting very disappointing to say , what a crummy lunch , from the food quality to tablet service , since the new owner took over in 2021 , business declining every day , it was packed before , now so quite , only few tablets occupied , dinning room very spacious and cold unwelcome atmosphere , menu is average , my fish chips so oily and the batter so thick doesn't taste like Cod , it takes so long come out from the Kitchen , and it is not busy ! undertrain staff , no service skill , only see her twice , never check back to our food , and no refill on the coffee or water , I get lot better food quality and services from the food court , for sure ,this place is out of my lunch list , there is three good sit down restaurants in the mall , stupid of me , why choose this place !
the food was pretty good and the waitress i had was amazing but halfway through my meal the manager came over and asked how everything was going and then proceeded to “accidentally” knock my drink into my food. After i cleaned up i asked for a new plate because the incident was clearly at his fault. The manager then told me to F-off and drink my soup. (i had pizza but the drink made it into soup) i have never been more disappointed. when i asked my waitress if she could put my pizza atleast with discount she turned to the manager and screamed at her at full volume and threw a tantrum throwing himself into tables making the whole restaurant uncomfortable. i will never be coming back.
Just walking around in the mall and we decided to go for happy hour to try this place. The food was good and service was nice.
We got the crispy fish and chips which comes with two pieces of cod fish, fries, salad, grilled lemon and tartar sauce. Let me start with the friendly service. They were fast and professional. Generous size of cod fish and the taste is great, crispy from the outside and tender inside. Fries were done perfectly. The atmosphere is relaxing inside and outside. Must try!
Not the worst fish and chips ever but close. Too much batter. Soggy and mushy cod(?). Coleslaw was soggy and bitter. Server was friendly and helpful Won’t hurry back.
Not many people for a Friday night and live music. We sat down at a table with others that we knew. They had drinks and one person was having a discussion with one of the wait staff. Discussion over, gone like the wind. Our presence was not acknowledged. She returned with the persons order and turned on her heel. 2 more wait staff were back and forth to 2 booths that were 10 feet away and it was futile trying to get someone’s attention. We were waiting for what seemed a very long time and ordinarily I would have left. We there to support the duo on stage so we felt compelled to stay. I was about to phone the reservation line to request that one of their wait staff visit our table when the woman that was helping with sound and lighting came over and got us a menu. Good grief, there were only, at best a couple of dozen customers total so being busy wasn’t the issue. I felt invisible!

Friendly staff, great service, and a very wide selection of food options makes for a nice experience ?
Service is good, as is drink selection. Food was overcooked/dry for both of the other people at my table. There were only a few other tables, so kitchen definitely wasn't swamped. Chicken tenders seems like something you should just be able to follow the instructions on the bag for, but I guess not.Edit: forgot to mention the table was very sticky.
Popped in on this gorgeous sunny day to Central City Tap House for Happy Hour.Tried the Lobster Crab Cakes, not bad. The picked did not pair well. The Chipotle mayo was good. The fish and chip was not good. Very greasy and heavy batter with a spice in the batter that definitely did not go, almost an Indian like spice we couldn't put our finger on it. Even the fries were greasy. The tarter sauce was good and the coleslaw was fresh and tasty. We also had the Poutine with Pulled Pork but forgot to take a picture. For the $19, not worth it. Overall we weren't thrilled. Service was good. I wanted to order a glass of white wine and they had not received their shipment and did not have any. That was frustrating.
My colleague and I both ordered chicken tenders today and most of the chicken pieces under the breading was completely raw - not undercooked, but actually raw. Wish I had taken photos before we sent the plates back, but we were in shock. As the chicken tenders were on special today, hope people double check their food carefully before consumption. I won't be returning.
Well, what can I say? My wife who NEVER complains, and hates it when I complain, asked me to write this......so here is our HONEST review:We got seated straight away, at a table that literally everything stuck to...gross!Our waitress was obviously very new, and could use alot more mentoring before handling tables alone yet (not her fault)I wish I had taken a picture of my fish and chips, better yet a video! You literally COULD NOT get a fork through them! I don't even have ANY clue what type of "cod" could possibly be so rubbery and tough! The 1/4 cup of fries that came with it were the highlight of all our meals and I sent 1/2 of those back with those nasty pieces of fish!My son's pepperoni pizza looked reasonable, but it's was no better than something from the frozen food section at Wall Mart, honestly it would probably loose out to a ChuckEcheese pizza!! My wife's pizza (Veggie) looked good, but was beyond basic in flavor as well. It's been a few years since we have come to this establishment, and my memory was of a fairly hip place with reasonable pub fair!If your actually reading to this point, rest assured I am not exaggerating how horrible the food is here! We look often at reviews to make decisions on new restaurants, but since we've been here in the past, we thought what the hell, but let me tell ya...save your hard earned money!!After posting this I read through a few of the other reviews, I can only assume that some of the 5 star reviews as of late are either staff friends or bs accounts!
