Ruby Siam Thai Kitchen

Been here a couple of times now. After coming back from Thailand, my partner and I had been looking for a decent Thai restaurant but all seemed to be more or less the same, very westernised. But this place was top tier! It’s what you’d mostly expect to get in Thailand, the prices are lower than most restaurants and the restaurant itself has a very family feeling to ones in Thailand, making it a perfect place to grab lunch or dinner. The pad Thai and spring rolls are highly recommended :)

Update: forgot to add, the staff are super friendly and kind!
The service is very fast.
The parking can be a nuisance if the street is full as the building beside it owns most of the lot. There is another lot on the other side though as well as street parking.

I am allergic to shrimp I ordered every dish without seafood. I ended up getting and eating a shrimp. I’m in distress. I phoned the restaurant they do not care. Be careful what you order. The person on the phone was extremely rude and dismissive!😡

This Thai food was incredible. Authentic, awesome spice level ( at medium ) and I highly suggest coming here for lunch or dinner. Great lunch priced items.

EAT THE GREEN CURRY! It changed my life. My boyfriend and I hardly spoke during our whole meal because the food was so good. It was my first time here but will definitely not be the last. I’ve been to many Thai restaurants and this was by far the best! We didn’t leave a single drop of food behind.

The food was amazing and made fresh. If you love spicy Thai food, this is the place to be. No wait time and we were seated immediately. Although it was busy, customers were taken care of very well.

We enjoyed this quaint restaurant immensely! We ordered fish cakes, chicken satay, papaya salad, pad Thai, red pork curry and coconut rice. Everything was full of flavour! Our friends who haven’t had Thai food before loved it. We will be back for sure! Maybe one day they’ll be offering mango and sticky rice and other Thai specialties for dessert.

This is the second Thai restaurant in Greater Vancouver that tastes 90% authentic. Recommended.
