We recently came out to South Surrey,B.C. We love Dairy Queen back in Ottawa. Bought 3 boxes of Buster bars. Turned out that they were nothing like the Buster bars bought elsewhere. Few peanuts, no chocolate in the middle and smaller than normal. When I went back to complain. I was told this is how they make them there by the Assistant Manager. We did try 2 other items. Again less for your money. This outlet is skimping on product to save them money. Don't recommend eating there as well. Poor Service, Items not up to other Dairy Queen's standards.

I wish I'd thought to take a picture, but just had the sloppiest, greasiest #9 original cheeseburger tonight. Although it didn't taste too bad, the texture was soft and mushy and grease dripped down my hands. There had been a mix-up in the order, in the end I was told it was my husband mis-ordering, but he insists not. Whatever, it's $3. He was gracious and didn't repeal the order. (I would have). When he opened his burger, it was wet, sloppy and greasy-- and the bottom of the bun looked like it had soaked in the meat's fat and 1/4 of it was super grey and soggy. My husband never takes things back. He took it back. Later as I quietly discussed it with the lady behind the counter, she was very lovely and apologetic. I said "Dairy Queen used to have such a good reputation about their burgers" and she said "We still do!" and I sadly said, "Not with me anymore. I'll never eat another burger here." Thank goodness their ice cream is still good! The lady gave us extra hot fudge, but alas, even THAT cannot make up for the burger catastrophe.

Customer service is really bad, the two East Indian servers keeps on gossiping with each other let me waited in the counter for a while, they forgot to give my other order and needed to comeback again to get it because the two servers are two focused in their conversation gossiping in the counter and in the kitchen, I needed to call their attention just to be entertain in the cashier, they worked like they hated their job. I will never go back to this particular store location ever.
The woman behind the counter was talking on the phone in east indian thru ear piece all while taking orders and touching food, it was so rude and terrible customer service.

The employees there are soo rude. They dont listen to you, they cutt you off while youre talking, they do not smile. I ordered a large blizzard. And it was an inch and half under the rim so i sent it back to add more ice cream the lady did not say anything rather rolled her eyes. I paid $11Blizzard but i am not getting a medium rationed blizzard. Not when there attitude is like that.

Best DQ in the area in terms of food freshness and quality. Huge menu to choose from so there is something for everyone. Grill chicken sandwich is my go to and the French fries dipped in ice cream is a perfect combo.Kid-friendliness: Kid meal with choice of banana or apple sauce instead of French fries.
