As someone who eats a lot of sushi, this experience was especially disappointing. The service felt rude from the moment I walked in, and it never improved. The salmon tasted off, the roll was smothered in far too much sauce, and nothing came across as fresh. Overall, it was a letdown from start to finish.

My personal favourite? The Damiko House Salad — it’s not just a salad, it’s a perfect meal. The balance of textures, flavours, and that incredible house dressing make it unforgettable. It’s refreshing, satisfying, and something I crave all the time.
Their miso soup is hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Deep, rich flavour with the perfect umami — it’s pure comfort in a bowl. But it doesn’t stop there… every dish I’ve tried is crafted with care, from sushi rolls to sashimi to their daily specials.
The staff are always welcoming, the atmosphere is cozy and clean, and the attention to detail is evident in everything they do. Whether you’re a sushi connoisseur or just discovering Japanese cuisine, Damiko Sushi is a must-visit.

we ordered takeout and our rolls were really manhandled and wonky and we paid extra for 2 spicy mayos and we didn’t get any.disappointed.

We love this local family run sushi restaurant. We go regularly for a quick dinner with consistent, well seasoned and wonderful dishes (prices are decent too). Having tried most sushi places in the Peninsula, this is our favourite.
Loved the quality of the food and the presentation. We ordered Gyoza, beef teriyaki, and chicken katsu. .
