Great Dinner, just as I remember from many years of special meals there. I went to try it out again with girlfriends in the summer for lunch and found the food was excellent. We celebrated New Year's Eve a day early and while we were nearly the only ones to jump start our celebration as the restaurant was very quiet, the service and the food was excellent. Fresh salad, schnitzel cooked to perfection and lovely side dishes, I loved the red cabbage. We are going to book with our friends, 10 in all, for a birthday celebration. Well done! with a gracious and accomadating host.

I wanted to skip the Christmas dinner shenanigans so I booked for Christmas dinner. We had a very nice time the turkey was excellent and if you preferred you could order off the regular menu. I heard the duck was very popular also. The owner and the staff were wonderful. I am recommending to anyone who wants to skip the Christmas dinner stress Thank you Elizabeth's! ❤️?

Was served burnt toast before our meal. First time this happened and we have been to this restaurant many times over the years. If there are no fresh dinner rolls to offer, don't serve anything then. Another table was served burnt toast too. Place smelled like a roadside diner.

THERE WERE TOO MANY SMALL THINGS AND SOME MAJOR THINGS. ONION SOUP LACKED BODY - TOO MUCH BROTH, LITTLE ONIONS AND CHEESE. PORK TENDERLOIN - SO - SO, AT BEST. CEASAR SALAD - NO DRESSING. 1ST MARTINI WAS HALF A MARTINI. BUT THE BLACK FOREST CAKE WAS GOOD. COFFEE - NOT SO MUCH.

we have been regulars at Elizabeth's chalet since 1985, celebrating my parents 50th in 2011 by renting out half the restaurant, and celebrating every major milestone since then. The food was piping hot, flavorful, bringing back many memories. The restaurant has gone through changes throughout the decades, and still manages to impress. The only thing missing is the old-fashioned dessert cart.

At first the staff was very friendly. The bus girl was very helpful, friendly...did her job very well. Cute too.Bridgette was friendly too. But when we wanted to pay it took 20 minutes with the credit card clearly visible on our table. The food was meh. As an actual German, not like everyone else saying they are, the food was mediocre. Had the schnitzel madascor. My father had the hunter schnitzel. If one wants a good German restaurant I highly recommend Jägerhof in North Vancouver.Washrooms need an overhaul. You know... they say if the washroom isn't good then....

The ambience and food at this restaurant were great. However, the closing time of 8pm on a Saturday evening did put an abrupt ending to our evening. It did say on their website it was open until 9pm, which would be much better and then we would have felt less rushed.

Food was incredible, my German grandmother would be so happy with this place. The interior is cozy while still having lots of seating, and the service was impeccable. A stellar dining experience, and some of the best German cooking I've had outside of Omi's kitchen.

Went for Schnitzel night last night and it was exceptional. Food was excellent and service from Linden was great. Good to see more and more customers every time we go. Keep it up, Elizabeth’s!

Elizabeth's Chalet Restaurant offers very good German cuisine in Cloverdale. It was relatively quiet on Friday evening. Our party of four each enjoyed a beverage prepared by our server Nigel, prior to dinner. Three of us enjoyed the Schnitzel Madagascar and the other diner enjoyed the Schnitzel Charlotte for dinner. Good service, very tasty food and generous portions left no room for dessert. We recommend this gem of a restaurant for authentic European cuisine,

Went on November 13 to celebrate our 41 anniversary and was very impressed! My husband is from Germany and said the food reminded him of home!I had a spinach salad before my meal and it was delicious. Apple Strudel is made in house, also very good! I highly recommend this place!

What a gem! Traditional fare and decor, decent quality, love it. It was very quiet so a bit strange though, no social media so you can’t share or rave about it, not a lot of bar selection, has a lot of untapped potential. I hope they can modernize the marketing and share their food and drinks online without changing their food and setup. Nice waitress, said she was new but seemed to know everything well enough
