No. But we went craving casual food in a funky atmosphere, and that is what we got.Counter staff was friendly enough, the owner, Walter, very kind and appreciative of our visit, with a big genuine smile and a "thank you, I appreciate you coming!" when we chatted with him for a moment as we left.There was plenty of parking right out front, it's wheelchair accessible, the restaurant was clean, and the food was ready quite quickly (around 10 minutes), and was abundant. Soup was served on the spot at the counter.We ordered 2 clubhouse sandwiches which came with fries, a Manhattan clam chowder that was hot, thick with vegetables, and a generous portion. We also bought 2 pieces of delicious cake to go - black forest and a chocolate cake with delicious chocolate icing.It's nostalgic and unpretentious, serving comfort food with a smile. I went to the Vancouver location with my then boyfriend, now husband 37 years ago at 18 years old - our first date. I don't visit often. Maybe once a year. But every time I'm there I always think damn, I'm going to miss this place when it's gone. The world is changing and Fresgo Inn is a rarity, a little local gem.Parking: Nice big parking lot right out front. Free parking.Kid-friendliness: Fine for kids. Old style diner with decent food. Portions were good but the food didn’t feel worth the price. Can get a major upgrade on the service and menu. Good on burgers and fries but that’s it.
