We have been ordering food from Gateway Pizza for several years now and have always enjoyed their good food. Today, I placed our usual order: Tandoori Chicken, Paneer dish, and Romali Naan. We drove all the way from Lougheed to Surrey to pick up the food and brought it back home.
Unfortunately, the Tandoori Chicken was overcooked and burnt—it tasted charred. I decided to call and share my concern. The girl I spoke to dismissed the issue, saying all customers received the same Tandoori Chicken and no one else had complained. She even added that if I came back to pick up a new order, it would be the same.
FYI, no, it wouldn’t be the same if you didn’t burn it in the tandoori clay oven. Properly cooked Tandoori Chicken is not burnt, and no restaurant should serve food like this. To make matters worse, she didn’t offer any credits or a proper resolution.
I’ve attached pictures to support my review. This feedback is primarily about the unprofessional attitude of the girl I spoke to. Please learn the basics of customer service if you are in this industry.
That being said, the gentleman at the front desk is amazing and always provides excellent customer service. We will continue to order food from Gateway Pizza, but we’ll ensure to request the gentleman to make sure the chicken isn’t overcooked.

Best pizza in town excellent curry chicken when ever I order I have to repeat myself several times,communication is horrible I don't even bother with my favorite dish because they don't know what chick peas are or fried bread.my order was messed up last recent pickup they gave me wrong nands even said something g at counter was confirmed get home wrong one,they said call me back when they did said extra charge for the nands even thou the last time I order was the same price as today.freakenquently get the wrong pizza aswell and get stuck with it love the food however phone communication is horrible stressful everything I hope they can change that because it is a problem you get the right food your in good shape most excellent very tasty sorry for the review just had enough ps got the evil staree when returning for right food with extra charge

Pizza here is surprisingly good quality for the price. $23 for a decently loaded pie. There’s a 7 dollar delivery fee heads up because the driver usually is pretty hopeful for the tip. But for the size of pizza if you’re only ordering one it’s kind of not wanting to give much because then it adds up to 33$ for a bigger medium small large. Good pickup special.
