German Doner Kebab

Doner rice is $16 if I buy it directly from the store.
On Uber Eats, the same item is listed at $18 — and then there’s a $2 delivery fee and nearly $4 in taxes on top of that.

So the exact same meal suddenly costs $24.

Why?
Why is the base price higher on Uber Eats to begin with?

Customers understand delivery fees and taxes. What feels unfair is quietly inflating the menu price before all that. It comes across as double-charging and leaves a bad taste, no matter how good the food is.

Please be transparent. Either keep prices consistent or clearly explain the markup. This kind of pricing feels dishonest and pushes customers away.

Extremely disappointed. The food looks good in the pictures, but reality is completely different. Quesadillas? More like bread with a shred of meat. The “four meat pockets” shown? I got one. Overpriced for what it actually is. Portion sizes are tiny, prices are high, and it feels like a trick to get more money. This is false advertising in plain sight.

Food is good — pricing strategy is not.

Avoid these guys like the plague on Uber eats. Got a donner box with go large on beef so the total came to $20 to get less donner than they give in the regular amount. Absolute joke

Fantastic experience at German Doner Kebab! The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, making you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The food is super fresh, the portions are generous, and everything is prepared really well. The restaurant itself is clean and well maintained, which makes dining there even more enjoyable. Definitely one of the best spots for a great meal highly recommended!

Attended DGK for lunch durring my work day. I can say I'm glad I stopped in, it was definitely worth it for my taste buds. The design of the donair is more difficult to eat and keep your hands clean.... but. Well worth it. The donair is full of flavor, unlike most other donairs.
The bread that it's nestled in has great texture and flavor, the mix of meats, sauces and cabbage hit the spot.. if you want to try something different... I recommend to give them a try..

I’ve been to this place many times when I used to live in Surrey. Happened to be in the area again and was excited to eat here after about a year and a half. This place used to be incredible, my favourite donair place by far but the taste and quality has noticeably declined. On top of that, they’ve raised prices to $25 for 1 donair and fries. What!? To top it all off, they now charge you an extra $2 for the sauces lol. I don’t plan on coming back and won’t be recommending them any more.

Visited German Doner Kebab for the first time with my family and it was amazing. It was a bit busy so we had to wait around 10–15 minutes, but the wait was totally worth it. Their German kebab is the best—hard to beat. The service was very friendly; the girl at the counter explained the whole menu since I was new and helped me choose the best option. Fresh food and a great first experience. Will definitely come back.

Love the food, been to the Surrey location a couple times now. Each time the cashiers were so rude! They do not know anything about customer service and talk to you like you’re waisting their time. They definitely need to be trained how to speak with customers. Only come back for the food but never want to tip…sorry not sorry.

Hey so I can show my receipt, the staff working there today was so rude, I have been here a few times I understand sometimes work can be stressful but it doesn’t mean you put your anger out on someone else very unprofessional especially when your speaking kindly to a worker with respect and they belittle you.

Tried the mixed chicken and beef kebab from German Döner Kebab at Fleetwood today. Looks and tastes uniquely different from the shwarma wraps from Lebanese places. There's certainly some German elements to this kebab: rotkrautsalat, garlic butter sauce (I think?), and a waffle-patterned pita wrap. It looks more like a waffle taco. than a wrap. Tastes amazing!
