We stumbled upon Happy Jack’s Cafe because of its convenient central location—perfect for a quick business meeting. What a great surprise it turned out to be! From the moment we walked in, Chris greeted us with warmth and genuine friendliness. It’s clear this place is locally owned and run with heart, and that makes all the difference.
In a world full of chains and franchises, finding a spot like this is rare. The atmosphere was relaxed yet professional, the coffee was excellent, and the service made us feel like regulars even on our first visit.

after a long day at the guildford mall, we found happy jacks nearby on maps! we are so grateful we did, as this place and its owner are as great as the rest of the reviews say. we each got coffee and two breakfast sandwiches at a great price with very sweet customer service. the owner (also the chef) brought out our food and we got to share a lovely conversation with him about the importance of connection with customers when you run your own business. we sat down with our coffee while waiting for the food, and we already knew it was going to be great. a super loving and welcoming cafe. overall, we were really glad we could support this cafe and definitely look forward to visiting again :)

The café was clean spacious and well lit. The decor was simple and had that lovely old-school charm. Food was prepared fresh and with good quality ingredients. Was presented well and also tasted fabulous!
The owner Chris was a really polite and well-spoken gentleman. Each customer that walked in, seemed to be a regular and you know, when regulars return; its a good sign.
Canada needs more of these lovely family owned and operated restaurants!.

Relaxing atmosphere and amazing couple! I had the “jack attack omelette” and it was delicious along with the sour dough toast!!! Rare find in Surrey for a nice quiet inviting place to have breakfast coming off the freeway!!!

Amazing friendly people, especially Chris (the owner, a famous executive chef). We stayed for close by for a chess tournament and had lunch every day. My kid is a picky eater and has sensitive stomach. He loved the food and easy on the tummy. He got egg benny, every day by the way. We had sandwiches, soup. Everything was delicious. Their coffee and hot chocolates are amazing too. All items are reasonably priced. It’s just behind Sheraton.

Came here for the first time last week and now I’m back again! The sandwiches are fantastic and the portions are quite big! I’ve had the pasta salad too, it’s delicious and you get a nice crunchy pickle on the side. The service is absolutely great. Love this cafe!
