The taste and quality of the food is good. But like the last review on here... I've noticed the quantity of things like fish and scallops has decreased. Haru, please add more scallop to your rolls, I was not in the mood for a cucumber roll. 3 of my pieces barely had any scallop in it, it was all cucumber
Great food and great staff, can’t ask for more.

An unforgettable Japanese dining experience – a hidden gem for ramen, udon, and sushi lovers!
This was our second time visiting this incredible Japanese restaurant, and once again, it completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff with genuine smiles and kindness. They remembered us from our previous visit, and that made us feel instantly at home. The atmosphere is cozy, calm, and beautifully decorated, creating the perfect environment for a relaxed family meal.
Let’s talk about the food, because it’s truly the heart of the experience. We ordered a variety of dishes:
• Ramen: The broth was deep, rich, and comforting—clearly simmered for hours to develop that perfect umami flavor. The noodles were perfectly chewy, the toppings were generous, and the portion was just right.
• Udon soup: Thick, soft udon noodles in a fragrant, savory broth. It was light yet deeply flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning.
• Sushi: This is where they truly shine. We tried the California rolls and the smoked salmon sushi, and both were of incredible quality. The rice was fresh and well-prepared, the fillings were clean, flavorful, and obviously made with care. The smoked salmon had that delicate, buttery texture and just the right amount of smokiness—easily some of the best sushi we’ve had in British Columbia.
One of the best parts? Our two young sons, Eiden and Darwin, absolutely love this place. At just 5 and 3 years old, they’re already little sushi fans, and this restaurant is their favorite. It’s not always easy to find spots that are family-friendly and offer authentic, high-quality Japanese cuisine, but this place nails it. The staff were incredibly sweet with them, even bringing extra napkins and small bowls without us asking. It felt like they really cared about making the experience enjoyable for every guest, including the little ones.
Service here is beyond excellent. The people who attend to your table and prepare the food are not only attentive and professional, but also extremely friendly and warm. You’re greeted with smiles and treated with the kind of hospitality that makes you want to keep coming back. When we left, every staff member we passed thanked us and said goodbye—it truly felt like leaving a friend’s home.
The prices are also very reasonable given the high quality of ingredients and generous portion sizes. It’s a rare thing these days to find such a well-balanced combination of quality, flavor, service, and affordability, and that’s exactly what this restaurant delivers.
I have absolutely no doubt we will return again and again. This place has officially become our go-to for Japanese food. If you’re a fan of ramen, udon, or sushi—or if you’re just looking for a welcoming, delicious spot to enjoy a meal with loved ones—you owe it to yourself to try this restaurant. They’ve earned every single one of these five stars and more!

We've been coming here for years, but recently have returned to the area and it is even better than ever. The tempura is incredible, the Rainbow Roll is a favourite and they are so attentive and accommodating. I ordered takeout sashimi for a friend in hospital last week and she was so happy with it, it's the freshest fish I've ever had at a sushi restaurant. Keep up the good work, all locals should add this restaurant to their rotation!

This is our go to sushi place because the workers/chefs are so sweet and the food tastes amazing and is super fresh always. I cannot recommend this place enough!
Trying to find a new sushi place since Ike closed and this isn't it. Asked for no avocado on one of the rolls and unfortunately wasn't done. Guess will look at another option.
Great little place, love the service and thier food.
