If Google had an option to give 0 stars, I would have chosen that. We had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. Right from the moment we parked, one of the staff members spoke to us in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner, questioning us harshly about whether we were coming in. His behaviour was very disrespectful — we felt unwelcome. The overall attitude came across as rude and discriminatory. Definitely not the kind of experience you expect when you’re out for a nice lunch.

Wish I could tell you how the food is. Got a table with my wife and daughter on a sunny Sunday afternoon hoping for some fish and chips and beer. After waiting more than 10 minutes for a server to take our order, we watched as other guests were seated and orders taken, while we were completely ignored. We walked out to the surprised look of staff. Do better please.

First time back to Hooked in over a year and was disappointed with the quality and attitude of staff, which seems to have drastically declined.
They also forgot an item (gravy in a cup) from an order and when we returned with the receipt, the kitchen staff argued with us saying we must have already ate it…
As a Crescent Beach local, I’ve had many friends work at Hooked over the years, and the attitude of staff or quality of food has never been so dismal.

Location is honestly the only redeeming thing about this place. Right on Crescent Beach with a cute little patio overlooking the water 🌊☀️ Perfect vibes if you just want to sit outside.
But the food… yikes. Ordered the calamari takeout and paid $22 for what was basically a box of deep-fried crumbs. Maybe 3 actual pieces of calamari hiding in there 🙃 The “salad” at the bottom was actually the best part of the meal, which says a lot.
Service was fine, but for the price and quality, it just doesn’t add up. Willing to give it another try (location is that good), but first impression? Not it.

Hadn't eaten here in a while. The view never disappoints and the server was sweet and appropriately attentive. The tacos while tasty had way too much sauce and fell apart necessitating a knife and fork which is not the way you want to eat a taco. The fish was Veracruz style (baked not Baja fried) and seasoned nicely.
