Indigo Cafe

We came to try the eggs benedict after seeing this place on Instagram. The eggs in the benny and the Early Bird sandwich were over done, the hollandaise isn't, and there was bacon, not ham in the benny. Presentation was way below what their IG suggests. They were just okay, but for the quality are way over priced. Staff was polite and courteous but never checked in on how the food was either. Seems to be a bustling local hangout which is fine, but don't bother making a trip to try a new place, it's lackluster.

Service was meh, I picked this cafe because of its reviews and ultimately wish I went elsewhere. The server was unprofessional and dramatically rolled her eye at me when I asked if the Salmon was wild, farmed or smoked. She then proceeded to forget to make my drink. When my food came it was cold but the guy bringing it was very kind. They forgot to make my drink all together and when I asked for it she snapped that she had already made it (which she hadn’t) she was confused which is completely fine because we’re all human. But her attitude body language and tone sucked. But hey everyone has bad days. Maybe this was just a bad day for her.

Cafe closes at 5pm daily except Sat at 4pm.
Rated 1 star only because the hour is wrong and couldn't even get in and try. Hopefully I will have the chance to try it in the future and edit the ratings.

Coffee is on point every time! Yummy snacks and desserts. Lots of sitting room in a great neighbourhood.

We feel so lucky to have the Indigo cafe in our neighborhood. The service is exceptional, especially Olena!! She makes us feel welcome and like we're a part of a community. The food is excellent - we love the addition of pizza in the evenings. Thanks for making it so easy and yummy to support local!

try their chai tea latte you won’t regret it!

This coffee shop offers excellent service and a diverse selection of food and beverages. I particularly enjoyed the Mocha, Latte, and Breakfast Wrap, all of which were flavorful, warm, and fresh. The espresso had a bright acidity, which I personally appreciate. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft background music contributing to a relaxed atmosphere. However, I would have loved to see a greater variety of brewing methods, such as pour-over or French press, to cater to different coffee preferences.

Really nice spot for coffee, baked goods, or tasty brunch. E ordered the south Surrey eggs benny (highly recommend), and the french toast (which looked amazing but honestly left us a bit disappointed- bread was soggy, glaze was an odd taste, but okay overall, lots of fruit).
