I wasn't expecting such a hidden gem! I came to eat with my partner and the owner served us and he was very friendly and homey. We felt really comfortable and the food was delicious! I absolutely recommend this amazing place.

We really enjoyed our meal. We appreciate the sweet and sour sauce not being bright red and it tasted great. The thin noodles in the chow mein were great and the beef in the beef and broccoli was tender. Thank you for dinner.

My dad and I went there for lunch. The House Special Chow Mein was quite large for $16.99 and was flavourful and had shredded bbq pork, shrimp, and egg, etc. My dad is Cantonese and had been craving Chow Mein and this hit the spot for him. We also got the Ginger Soup Beef Vermicelli. I thought the bowl was small when it came out, however it was actually deeper than I was expecting and loads of noodles. The beef was velveted beef and it had some carrot, broccoli, and zucchini with it. The broth itself was light and subtle, tasting of fresh ginger and a hint of sesame oil. Due to how clear and subtle the broth is, I don’t feel guilty drinking it, like I would if it were heavily salty Pho broth (the soup at Ken’s is nothing like Pho, so don’t order it if that’s what you’re hoping to get). I almost finished all of the broth and had to take the leftovers home. When getting it to go, I was kindly given more broth to take home separately. A super nice bonus since I loved the lightness of the broth, and it was packed separately from the noodles so they wouldn’t get soggy. The place was tidy and clean and service was great. The music and volume of it made it feel quite trendy. I’m surprised it wasn’t busier as we went during lunch. I’ll definitely be back to try other items on the menu. I was told the soup can also be adjusted to not include sesame oil as well, so if told in advance, I believe they could accommodate allergies/food sensitivities since everything is made fresh.

Best Chinese food in the area and beyond! This small “hole in the wall” is serving up the freshest and tastiest Chinese dishes I have had in a long time. Service is spectacular. You might have a wait in the food but it’s only because it’s being made fresh 1 order at a time. Will was super friendly and made sure we enjoyed the food. The fried shrimp/prawns are that old school Chinese goodness!
5 stars for sure!
(We had more dishes but couldn’t wait to take picture 🤦♂️)

Horrible quality. The rice is dry and overcooked. You're better off going to a food court.

This is the kind of place I absolutely love! My Dad showed me a few days ago and I order a few items for take out, waited in restaurant nice people, remembered my dads order from a few weeks ago great customer service and the food was absolutely delicious and Clean really clean food, and it looked amazing too even tho it was in a take out box. Whoever is cooking went to culinary school for sure and has experience making the food look very pretty and presentable. This is now my new Chinese food spot! Thanks you guys

Ken’s is one of our favourite restaurants. The food is delicious and always fresh and service is awesome. We’ve ordered take out many times and dined in with our daughter. The owner was so sweet and sent the robot waiter to deliver fortune cookies. Our 3 year old was so delighted and hasn’t stopped talking about it. This is a truly an unassuming neighbourhood gem.

We stopped here as we were in Cloverdale & by previous reviews. We both had the dinner for one. The Beef Chop Suey had way too much sauce. The Chow Mein was super greasy. The Almond Chicken although not bad you only get 3 small pieces. The worst was the Sweet & Sour Pork, it was a light brown colour & looked unappealing, I tried 1 piece & wished I hadn't it was absolutely disgusting, my partner had the fried rice & said the rice was okay. So much for a night out. We definitely did not bring the left overs home & will not go there again!!!
