I love chinese take out and Hong Kong beef style. However this one was way too sweet I could barely feel the heat or beef taste. Rice felt a bit reheated.

Overall good experience from customer service point.

Stopped by for a bowl of hot and sour soup after Remembrance Day service. Very disappointed. Smaller portion than expected for the price and the soup was lacking.. only had a few slivers of meat and not many veggies, egg or anything that normally it is filled with. Had to ask for water and napkins.

Ordered catering trays for a celebration and it was our first time trying Ken’s Cafe. We will only be ordering from Ken’s from now on for our family events!

Food tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, and healthy - even the fried wontons and squid were light and crispy without being greasy. Everyone at our party commented on how good the food was - even my hard-to-please parents and picky children loved the food. We had plenty of leftovers and were excited to eat it again the next day.

Service was great from start to finish. We ordered on the phone a couples weeks before our event, I was able to conveniently pay by phone. We also got a phone call 1-hour before pickup confirming our order, which was very helpful! At pickup, the owners helped us load the food and even gave our kids free handmade chocolates to enjoy.

Highly recommended for large orders. Thanks a lot. 🙌

My sister and I went to surrey to visit a friend then started searching for a Chinese restaurant for dinner. Out of all the choices, we chose Ken's cafe. We made the perfect decision. It is a family-owned restaurant which I always love to support.
We ordered 5 dishes to try altho it's just 2 of us (salt & pepper wings, black pepper beef udon, golden tofu, broccoli & beef, and pineapple bun & katsu pork) . All of them are delicious!
Ceci is the cheerful lovely girl who helped us. And we met the young chef who also is very friendly and cheerful.
We had a more-than-wonderful experience and we definitely will go back every time we go to surrey.
I highly recommend this place !! It is a gem in surrey.

Ken’s Restaurant was a great place to have a meal! Was hungry and the food came out quickly. Crispy chow mein presentation was impressive, and the taste was authentic. The portion was big as well, I had to pack the fried rice home! Food was great in general! Will come back :)

I got the spicy beef with fried rice $15.99
And the mini combo noodles and sour pork $7
A promo they're having.

Everything cook really nice flavorful.
Both meat had lots of sauce. (Next time will ask for less sauce the sauce wasn't main show but too much of it. Meat was nice and freshly cook just right)

Noodle great I really liked it it was chewy flavor great smell.

Fried rice was fried in a wok with the smell of nice fried rice in a wok like a hot taste to it.

Prices are reasonable for Chinese takeout. My favorites are almond chicken and stir-fried vegetables with beef. Very generous portions. I'm a regular now. Every few months I have to stop by. For takeout they are never late

Kens Cafe is a very authentic Chinese style restaurant. I wouldn't consider it a cafe as the coffees are on par with tims. The food was fresh, not heavy, and made with passion. I talked to the chef and he was very passionate about the quality and flavor. I ordered the lunch special (12-4pm) spicy beef for $14. It was the freshest Chinese food I've ever had! Not heavy or greasy. Don't let the exterior fool you, this restaurant takes their food seriously. Support local and try this ACTUAL hidden gem.

I've been going here for 40 years and my parents did long before. Maybe it's because I grew up on it, but I have never found a better Chinese food. Great people and a great little place. The milkshakes are amazing. Plus... Morgan Fairchild dined there

Stopped in for a quick lunch on our way to the border. Lovely little restaurant to enjoy some familiar Chinese classics. We got egg foo yong, spicy garlic chicken and hot and sour soup. The spice level was just right all around and the loaded garlic in the chicken was amazing. Recommend all of the above!!
