Kinton Ramen is a great restaurant in the heart of King George. Located just minutes off the skytrain line it's very accessible. The food is amazing. Across all the times I've been here, there has been consistently zero issues with the food itself (outside of wrong items), and more than just that, the quality is extremely high. The various different menu options don't disappoint, regardless of what you order.
Service is... mixed. While Staff are always friendly and professional, there have been semi-frequent issues with the ordered items. For example, getting a Shoyu Ramen instead of a Miso Ramen, or receiving a regular Coke instead of a Diet Coke, which could cause issues with allergies or food restrictions if the Customer can't or doesn't know how to recognize the issue on sight.
The Atmosphere for the restaurant is excellent, however it can be tough to sit down for an extended time. The tables are relatively small, and all seats are stools without backs. There is a small space under each stool to place some personal belongings but nowhere to place a winter coat, for example. The provided space wouldn't be sufficient. It does give a feeling of wanting you to eat, and then leave quickly, rather than take your time and enjoy the food and time with those who might be with you.
Overall, I'm giving this location 4 stars for now, with a hope that it will improve to 5 in the future!

We came in at 10:35 and waited at the entrance for about 3 minutes before being offered a table. We made eye contact with one of the female staff members several times before we were given one. We were not given any menus or water. Another couple came in after us and were given menus before us and were able to order. At 10:45 someone finally came to take our order but we didn't even have menus—the person I was with had never been there before and didn't know how it worked. The server then told us it was last call and we had to order right now before even getting a chance to see the options.
I understand we came late and would have been fine to leave, but I thought it was so rude that they didn't just say they were closing and instead let us stand there waiting for a table and then didn't give us menus. Why did you give us a table instead of asking us to leave? I wouldn't have even left this review if they didn't give another table (who came at least 3-4 minutes after us) menus and let them order before us. So disrespectful!
My recommendation to management would be to adjust your last call policy to be earlier, maybe 10:30, because staff are not following 10:45. I came here before at 10:15 months ago and had a similar experience of just waiting and waiting to get a menu, but thought it was a one-off.

The careful packaging really made a difference, everything arrived in perfect condition. I'm glad the ramen isn't overly salty, that's a big plus for me. It does have way too much pepper for my personal taste, though. Ordering from Uber eats and the description doesn't specify there is that much pepper. Overall, an ok experience with this.

Small place, big flavors. The restaurant is cozy with a few small tables and bar seating, and you can watch everything being cooked live. Since the food is excellent, there’s usually a wait—we went on a Friday and waited about 20 minutes for a table of two, which was totally worth it. We ordered a meal for one, starting with the Veggie Gyoza (vegetable dumplings)—fresh, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. The garlic fries were another standout, flavorful without being overpowering. The star of the meal was the spicy garlic veggie ramen bowl. The portion is huge and incredibly filling, with a rich, flavorful broth and well-balanced toppings. We also tried Ramune, the Japanese soda—fun to open and lightly sweet with a subtle coconut-like finish. Big shoutout to the staff—everyone was kind, attentive, and welcoming despite how busy it gets. All of this for under $30 per person, which makes it a total win. Highly recommend.
