I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over a year and regularly order takeout or delivery, usually spending $100 or more per order. Today was a special occasion, so I decided to dine in with my three children for the first time.
Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. From the moment we were seated, I felt a clear sense of annoyance and dissatisfaction from our server once she saw that I had children with me. I chose to ignore it and focus on enjoying our meal.
During our visit, my two-year-old accidentally broke a glass. I immediately apologized and asked if plastic cups were available, but was told they were not. I felt terrible about the situation and left a generous tip specifically because of this.
Despite that, the service throughout our meal remained poor. Our server rarely checked on us, never offered refills, provided only one soy sauce dish for 5 people, and I had to repeatedly ask for items that were part of our order but had not been brought out.
When I paid the bill, I calmly explained that this would likely be my last visit due to the service and how uncomfortable the experience felt. The server stated it wasn’t because of my children but because she had to work late. While I understand that everyone has tough days, personal frustrations should never be taken out on paying customers.
I’ve always enjoyed the food here, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as loyal customers — including families — deserve respectful and attentive service

Service was good, food was very mediocre. The yellow tail tuna sashimi was mealy and the karaage was gross. Not potato starch, just basically kfc but bad.

I thought the food is good however the rolls that came with my order fell apart when I lifted with my chopsticks. Friendly staff, good service parking maybe a factor depending time of day especially when shared with other businesses. Would recommend.

We are a small family trying sushi restaurants in the neighbourhood, nice reviews but didn't have the chance to try this place because strollers are not allowed inside. Please mention it on your website. Lunch was not that busy only 2 people inside. I wish they made an exception but it's their rules so.
I went there for dinner with my friends and I had a great time. The staff were nice and the food came quick. I got the chicken katsu curry and that was really good.

Kyoto Sushi is our favourite restaurant in Newton to enjoy delicious Japanese cuisines.
The atmosphere is welcoming and Tina, our lovely and friendly server is knowledgeable and attentive. We have ordered different dishes but we always gravitate to our usual. My husband orders the chicken and beef teriyaki over vegetables and I order the agedashi tofu and ebi sunomono. Their sushi, tempuras and donburi bowls are equally well prepared and so delicious.
We have introduced a few of our family and friends and theirs reviews are all positive.
