It’s a great place to buy fresh Korean rice wine, makgeolli. The prices are reasonable, and I like their original flavor the most. I tried some of the other flavors, but they were too sweet for me.

It was my first visit. I went all the way from Burnaby to Surrey because I heard that they make the rice wine themselves. so I was really looking forward to it. But the female staff seemed like she didn’t want to work. She was very rude and answered my questions as if it was a bother, which made me feel really uncomfortable. I will never visit again. Maybe it was because of the bad service, but even the rice wine didn’t taste good to me.

I have been there a few days ago. It was great experience with Macgeoli and food 😋 I would come back with my friends again. I highly recommend strawberry Macgeoli and spicy chicken. Next time, I will try the Macgeolie slurpee.

Vanmak’s magkeolli is aaaaahmazing! I drove by the Surrey location remembering that I’ve seen them on instagram before and have been dying to try it! So , in I went and was surprised by what this little gem of a shop had inside. I wasn’t sure what to expect because I’ve never had magkeolli before and have only heard about it. I was pleasantly surprised by all the different flavours they have . And that the guy behind the counter patiently let me try all the flavours I wanted to try. I ended up buying 2 strawberry and 2 mango. I will definitely be back to buy more.

This place is where I go with my Korean friends! I love their food and rice wines! Especially the pork hock is to die for ! Try the spicy one, it's so goood:) And the rice wine, I tried their chestnut, strawberry, mango, citrus, and original and they are all good! But if you like more alcohol taste - I'd recommend either original or chestnut. If you like a bit of sweetness - their fruit flavors!
