Must try their strawberry makgeolli! Best rice wine ☺️ Thank you Vanmak
Best makgeolli in town.
Have been going to Vanmak for years for makgeolli now! Their makgeolli is so good and doesn’t give any hangovers the next day. I always stock up every few months!
The best makgeolli in Vancouver!!
It's more delicious than Korea!
I like all the flavors, but I like the original the best. Staff are very friendly and sweet 😍 I love this place forever 👍👍 every food is delicious
Me and my friend took the maegeolli making class and it was really fun and engaging! Definitely would recommend for a fun activity to do with friends!
I'm thirsty, so I brought 8L back home
Great place to support a local business with delicious Korean rice wine! Very friendly and helpful employee that was kind enough to explain how to drink makgeolli. Definitely recommend!
The grape makgeoli was really good! Went to the location in Vancouver and it paired well with the food!
I was so happy with the rice wines! They were delicious, fresh, and they had such a fun variety of flavours. Plus, the service and attention to detail was incredible. I threw a big party and we all got to enjoy the Makgeolli. The guests were raving about it. Thank you so much!
Love this place. Love their products. Very fresh and delicious, and the employee was very helpful, friendly and full of knowledge.
I was able to try some of the makgeolli other than the original one. For free. I will try other flavor in the future.
Their Original Makgeolli is the best!!
This will be my go to Korean rice wine store.
Cheers 🥂

Honestly soooo unassuming. But one of the BEST EXPERIENCES I’ve ever had in Vancouver. Their Chestnut, Citrus and Strawberry wine was soooo lovely. And the server that was working on the night of March 1st- I’m so sorry i did not get your name but you were AMAZING. we will be back!
I visited here on a friend's recommendation and was pleasantly surprised by their innovative take on traditional makgeolli. Being a fan of thick, robust makgeolli—much like the classic Haechang style that's hard to find in the U.S.—I found their brew to be delightfully richer than the typical supermarket versions.
What truly set the experience apart was the opportunity to sample small pours, allowing me to savor each flavor. I tried both the Chestnut and Yuzu variants. The Chestnut makgeolli, with its velvety, slightly thicker consistency and warm, nutty aroma, quickly became my favorite. Meanwhile, the Yuzu offered a refreshing burst of citrus that balanced its richness perfectly.
I first tried it at a Korean restaurant in Vancouver and fell in love with it.
This is the makgeolli I buy every time I go from Seattle to Vancouver. It can't be compared to the makgeolli sold at Korean supermarkets, and I'm impressed every time I drink it.
Personally, this is my favorite makgeolli.
When I drink other makgeolli, I get a headache afterward, so it wasn't my favorite liquor, but after drinking Banmak makgeolli, I no longer have to worry about headaches.
It’s great to be able to enjoy makgeolli with a variety of smooth flavors.
It goes well not only with meat and soup, but also with Western dishes.
highly recommended !! the best handmade rice wine in town ! must give it a try!
