I’ve only had this one cake from there, but it was absolutely delicious. It was like a strawberry shortcake. Definitely want to try more.

Lyra Lou Cake is absolutely amazing! I recently ordered a custom cake for my friend's birthday, and it exceeded all expectations. I went to the store and i was advised i can only place a cake order online. The website is an absolute nightmare! I asked for help from the worker and she helped me to place the order. After I paid $300 for the cake I was advised that the cake might get Cancelled since it’s a custom cake and needs to be ordered a week prior,WHEN NOWHERE ON THE WEBSITE IT SAYS SO! The next day I received a message that the order is Cancelled! It’s absolutely ridiculous how a customer is being treated! It was my first time coming to the store and will be the last one. I wanted a simple 2 tier cake and there is no such an option online,I asked if I can talk to someone who can verbally take my order. I was told if there is no 2 tiers then you don’t get one and only whatever is on the website ,that’s when I agreed to order a custom cake. But turns out it was too late after I spent 30 minutes in the store trying to figure out the website.

We tried their mango con yelo yesterday and the mango was nothing close to tasting like a mango... We were trying to figure out if it was peaches or pears, but even then it tastes so bland... It tasted like the frozen mangoes you can get at a grocery store but it was still not close to that it was just so bland.
The price point was a bit outrageous too.. $9-10 for one cup when no part of it tasted like mango. The milk/evaporated milk that was used in it was bland too, the only part we enjoyed was the ice cream on top.
I'm sure their pastries and other stuff on their menu are good, but I don't recommend their mango con yelo at all.

Thanks to Lyra Lou Cakes. It was my husband’s birthday and I was sick, so I ordered Red Velvet Mousse cake through doordash. I called the store to add writing on the cake and staff did as instructed. We liked the cake very much, it was fresh, moist and well decorated. 5/5 to their customer service and taste. Thanks again for making this day special for us. Especially to the lady who attended my call for writing on cake.Cheers!!!!

Individual cakes are mid - exterior and interior design of this place made me want to love it so hard but the desserts don’t stand out. Would love to give this place more time and support to grow since local businesses should thrive but taste needs to be there before you spend big bucks on cakes. if you have a craving for something decadent and tasty just go to DQ or somewhere cheap. Will come back in six months and give it another go because it’s still a cute shop and I hope it gets better. there’s some good food In that plaza so if it caught up in flavour would definitely be the place for people to sit and enjoy desserts without a care in the world. Has potential but for now 5/10.
