Mahek Indian Restaurant and Lounge

This is our favorite Indian restaurant & we are Indian! They have the best food here. We always get the butter fish (like butter chicken but fish) and it is so soft and flavorful. We also like the fish pakora and the garlic and plain naans. The naan bread is so fresh and fluffy. I am unsure why the ratings here are not higher. Other Indian places may be fancier or more pretentious but this one imo truly has the best food.

Ordered take out and found a piece of plastic in one of the dishes . I brought this to the attention of the staff who promised to provide the same item next time complimentary but that never happened , they recanted on the offer

Wrote to management but never heard back, the city has many other restaurants it’s a better idea to give any one of them a try over this place

Very concerning experience. We had just ordered and were waiting for our food when I overheard a cook scared saying a mouse ran toward the pantry. The server confirmed it when asked. Due to hygiene concerns, we did not continue. Not recommended.

Decent service and food quality regularly

Had the butter paneer through uber eats its way ro sweet taste like straight ketchup its so bad. I've had it before mild but this time was way way to sweet.

Very disappointed with my recent experience at Mahek.
The service was completely unprofessional — several food items from our order were missing, and when we tried to address it, the staff showed a lot of attitude instead of trying to help.

When we asked to speak with the manager, she was rude and dismissive, refusing to listen to our concerns. Initially, we were told they couldn’t make a simple change (no onions in a paratha), but only after insisting to speak to the manager did she admit it was possible.

On top of that, the kids’ meal was extremely disappointing — it only came with the entrée, no rice or naan included. For the price, that’s unacceptable.

Overall, very poor service and customer care. Definitely not coming back or recommending this place to anyone.

We’ve been to Mehak Restaurant several times with our family, and while we usually enjoy the main course, there’s been a recurring issue that’s quite frustrating. On more than one occasion, our order hasn’t been taken down correctly. The first time, they admitted the mistake and replaced the wrong item. However, during our most recent visit, there was another error in our order, and instead of addressing it, the server insisted we had received what we asked for—which was not the case.

We continue to visit because we do like their main course dishes, but the appetizers aren’t very impressive, and the repeated issues with taking orders correctly are disappointing. I strongly recommend that the staff start writing down orders instead of relying on memory—this would help avoid unnecessary confusion and improve the overall experience.

Ordered doordash, it said 28 mins. I even called to verify order. After 1 hour, they cancelled the order no notice.

Friendly service consistent food - mini meal is the best value in all of surrey delicious food regardless if it's meat or the Vegi platter one of my favorite Indian restaurant's for 20 years now. Used to enjoy their lunch buffet in the old building across the parking lot!

We’ve been regular customers of this restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience yesterday was very disappointing. At first, we noticed that extra plates weren’t provided with our order, which we were willing to overlook. However, when we ordered a chicken dish, the last piece had such a strong, unpleasant smell that I still can’t forget it even after 12 hours. What upset us most was that there was no apology offered for this. At the very least, we expected some acknowledgment of the issue. Sadly, after this experience, it’s unlikely we’ll be returning.

I went for the first time for dinner with family .. food was so tasty but service zero ( 0% ) no smile on face .. so i recommended to everyone don't go there restaurant .. and I won't go there after today,
Again saying service is ZERO 👎🏼 please don't visit at this restaurant.
