Like other reviews have said, authentic Malaysian food at a reasonable price with an acceptable portion. Great and friendly owner.

Was surprised to see a cash only sign, but they do take card, just with an added 5% fee due to visa/moneris surcharges.

Was quiet and relaxing for a Saturday afternoon. Will likely come back next time.

For starters, please call and make reservations in advance. The staff kindly accommodated us and we were very fortunate to be able to dine at this location as walk-in customers.

We ordered a number of items to try. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Service was excellent and friendly. We had our water refilled and staff checked in on us a couple times.

Lastly, this is a cash only restaurant so please remember to bring enough cash. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Absolutely greasy and watery curries. Looks like they are unable to deliver properly when they are busy.

Amazing little family run restaurant that’s been around since the 2000s. It’s recommended to call before dining as they encourage reservations to be sure that the fresh ingredients are in stock and they have space available for a comfortable dining experience. Irene is one of the sweetest owner’s I’ve met, always contributing a bit of soul and personality to this restaurant. 10/10 recommended

Authentic Malaysian food! Small portion and limited drinks option but we still enjoyed our meal.

Their hours are weird and never seem to open even though Google listing says they are.

My husband is Malaysian by birth and searches for authentic Malaysian food. Malaysian Hut serves authentic food. The best Penang Kway teow and Rojak ever. My husband had Lo mee and the kway lapis peeled and tasted like home. Food is sooo good. Services is above and beyond.

This restaurant has been in business for 27 years and I understand why! My family is from Malaysia and we always look for authentic Malaysian food while travelling and this restaurant is it. From the food types, quality and freshness, it was delicious and tasted like home! The roti chanai was our favourite!

I enjoy driving out of my way to try different restaurants and I’m glad I visited Malaysian hut for Lunch. Chef and owner Irene was very friendly and hospitable, kind reminder for all to call in advance to reserve a table as seating is limited and some items are limited in stock. Although we didn’t know to call to reserve in advance but we got seated upon arrival on Friday. We had Penang char kway teow and nasi lemak. The char kway teow has excellent “wok hei”, also known has Smokey/ charred flavor in Asian cooking. The nasi lemak was full of flavour as well, the two of us cleared the plates and was spoiled with dessert on the house after Irene found out we drove all the way from Burnaby to try her food. We left feeling our tummy and heart was full, thank you Irene for the delicious meal and we left feeling so taken care of. Looking forward to return to try other dishes with the family.

Simple decor, great service, and authentic Malaysian Chinese dishes. Malaysian Hut has been in business since 1998, and still owner/chef preparing all the dishes.

Had the roti canai which was hot, fresh, fluffy and flaky with a curry sauce that fused nicely together. Next was the chicken satay served with a peanut sauce and a side of pineapples and cucumbers. The texture was soft and tasty and quite unlike any satay I’ve had. The main was the Penang char kway teow, a rice noodle dish with beans sprouts, sliced Chinese sausages and prawns. Tis was not to my taste as it has a burnt flavour, and I got only two prawns for the whole dish even though I had asked for the Chinese sausages to be swapped out. The service was ok and I was asked if I wanted hot or cold water on arrival. Ambience is simple, and the establishment is cash only (debit card may be accepted). Irene, the chef/ owner came to chat and seemed pleasant. Great place for authentic Malaysian meals, and comes highly recommended
