Yesterday afternoon my friend and I went here and had 2 cups of tea. The waitress was very nice. It is an excellent place for a rest after you and your family have a beach walk.

This place should step into 2024 and set up credit card terminals. I counted 50 “cash only” signs and so many other weird ones. Its tacky and an eye sore to look at. The ice cream itself is made with cheap ingredients.

The review by Gigi Alvarez mirrored by experience at Martino's Cappuccino & Coffee Bar PERFECTLY.I too, was made to feel unwelcome and a nuisance. The owner's behaviour is a clear reflection of his arrogance and mistaken belief (conviction really) that consumers like myself (and many others as well if you look at the numerous negative reviews this guy has gotten) are not going to react to his appalling service. And what is up with the CASH ONLY method of payment? It doesn't surprise me that this decision was made with HIS needs in mind and not ours, the customer (well in my case, former).Do yourself and your wallet a favour and spend your money elsewhere. This guy doesn't deserve it.

The best chai latte I've had in a long time. My husband's latte was beautifully made. The pastries are made with care and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

Initially I was very eager to try this gelato shop as it was on our way to our tour. Also conveniently side by side with real authentic pizza. The cash only signs immediately stopped us from being able to purchase any. As well the Atm that had sign posted just the same as the cash only signs, was out of order (also no other Atm In sight) However we went to check out the flavors. No hello, good morning/afternoon,- it was 12pm they had just been open for maybe 30 to 45 minutes. No smile nothing , the man literally said nothing. He sat outside with a chair and a hot cup of coffee ☕️. We felt as if we were not wanted nor welcomed. After our tour we went back due to finding an Atm ? as well despite his less than welcoming demeanor. It's now about 5pm I believe enough time to get friendly - well not this guy as we asked for two scoops of gelato one cone one cup he served us out of the ice cream side. I cant eat regular ice cream so gelato was what I needed. Lucky enough darling husband ate both. But because of the lack of customer service he wouldn't go back.We hate to leave bad reviews but when the service is bad. Something needs to be said.I could tell he was an older stern authentic Italian man (even a grandpa ) however I've had better service at Baskin Robbins even Dairy Queen.I'd say skip this place and find somewhere else. Or check his mood and test it before u you decide to buy

Delicious ice cream and really good coffee. Highly recommended!

The ice cream was fine, but the owner came up to myself and two girlfriends and asked us if we wanted to work there making sandwiches and serving coffee as, according to him “East Indians work harder than white people”. He continued to lament over the general “stupidity” of Canadians, among other strange and racist comments. He also asked us if we wanted to invest cash in his business in exchange for sandwiches. They also only take cash, which is their choice - but there’s literally 30 + large signs scattered around the venue stating “cash only” in big block letters. Seems like too many signs. Anyway, strange experience and wouldn’t recommend.

Ice cream was fine but not for 6 bucks each, one scoop. Decided to get 2 coffees they were horrible , had zero taste to it . Threw them out . And for 3 bucks each. Will not go there again .And he wants cash , which is fine but definitely not worth it .

Nothing about the gelato stood out, it was lack lustre for all the signage. Not sure why they have "why pay more" posted everywhere when they aren't cheaper. The older gentleman really lacked any sort of friendliness, seemed eager to sit and chat with some ladies so felt like he rushed us through when no one else was behind us waiting.

We went there today during our walk along the beach, and due to my daughter's severe allergy to nuts, the lady working offered to open a new tub of ice cream just so the chance of cross nut contamination was lowered and my daughter could still enjoy a treat. This was so unexpected and greatly appreciated. Service was above and beyond and well worth the higher cost of ice cream. To the lady that was working there today, thank you so much for going above and beyond for my daughter. You made her day!
