Went for lunch on a Thursday and it wasn't busy at all. Had their lunch special 2pc fish and chips. Food came out quick the fish pieces were huge and was delicious. Batter a touch on the thick side but not overly so and was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place and I'll be back again. Also their menu is nicely varied much much more than just fish and chips. Thank you to Mr. Pickwick's fire a wonderful lunch.

The first time we went, the sour cream and even butter was off. Unfortunately, the restaurant did smell like a washroom. The floors were also sticky.
The fish was crispy, tasted good and it didn't taste fishy, as some fried fish do. The tartar sauce was good and fresh. The fries are average.
The second time we went into the restaurant, we were serviced by an overwhelmed man, constantly advising we shouldn't order this, or that on the menu when we asked for it. It was a really strange experience.
The portions are honestly great for the price. The woman who served us is the co-owner and she's very nice.
My advice would be to only order takeout, and to only order seafood items. If you had a bad dine-in experience, I'd advise to give them a try again but only a dine out experience.
Don't dine here for a good time, you won't get it. Order takeout from here because you're hungry and you feel like eating A LOT of fried fish, for a small amount of $.

I generally only do good reviews but made a point of making a review to save those fish n chip lovers some money. I ordered halibut and chips, drove out of my way 30 mins only to be extremely disappointed! The halibut doesn't taste like halibut and was overly mushy. It was a good portion but here was a ton of batter that was overly crispy and has a weird after taste. Although I love my fish n chips with some crisp this was an odd hard crispy exterior. The fries were sub par at most. The tarter sauce had very little flavour and again an odd after taste, really the worst tarter sauce I've tasted. To top off my experience the man behind the counter had zero personal skills and was unpleasant to deal with. To sum it up, I paid $50. for literally nothing. This place makes C-Lovers look good. Never giving this place a second chance!

Had been ordering on and off for years. We always have the cod and chips. It used to be very good quality fish. The last time I had to complain about the cod, because it was all batter. I decided to give it another try. I ordered 2 cod and chips. Again the deep fried fish looked huge. But try and find the mashed up bits of cod in all the batter was a feat.it It seems like the fish must have been tenderized or flattened to look larger. Barley found any whole piece of fish in the batter. Very disappointing. The dog wouldn't even eat it. Ended up in the garbage. $30 down the drain.
