Worst fish and chips I have had in Canada. The person who served me made me feel like I was causing him a huge inconvenience by walking into the store and trying to give him some business which it looks like he desperately needs. I would literally drive 20 mins to new west for decent food and service and I live around the corner from this place because it was such a terrible experience. Tiny portion, bad chips and the service was the worst I have had in years anywhere. Super overpriced for what you get. Never again and frankly I hope this place goes out of business so nobody else has to suffer though the same experience as I just did. I wouldn't even send my worst enemy here.
Edit : I also just found a hair in my food. So disgusted.

We ordered the two piece cod fish and chips along with onion rings, coleslaw, and gravy. The fish was excellent - very crispy and generously sized. The fries and onion rings weren’t as crispy or fresh as I expected. The gravy was really good, and the coleslaw was decent, though both came in small containers that were nearly $4 each, which felt a bit pricey. Overall, I’d definitely order the fish and chips again.

When I walk in on a Tuesday all you can eat, I should have known it would not be good. There wasn't one costumer in the place . Then the waiter came and asked for our order, he asked who wanted coleslaw. Strange but ok . Then our order came, we all had 2 piece fish and chips. There was so much breading it was hard to find the fish. Now in my onion as a cook for over 30 years in all kinds of restaurants. What this location did was slice the fillets in half . That's how thin the fish was in all that breading. And to top it off he charged us for the coleslaw as well. I will never eat there again. Worst fish and chip place I have ever been don't eat there, save your money. And maybe try C Lovers . There really good .

Love this place, the best batter, thick potato for dipping and amazing deal. Love the owners they are so nice and friendly, always welcoming and happy to help. Love it, be sure to get there early for fresh lunch special in under 10 minutes. That’s faster than a pizza!

Huge portions on the cod sandwich with good price! Friendly staff and the decorations are vintage and fishing related, classic chip shop vibes.. Certified by two englishmen to be authentic northern style shop (only mild negative as midlands blokes is gravy only no curry sauce) 5/5 will be back 👍
