When I walk in on a Tuesday all you can eat, I should have known it would not be good. There wasn't one costumer in the place . Then the waiter came and asked for our order, he asked who wanted coleslaw. Strange but ok . Then our order came, we all had 2 piece fish and chips. There was so much breading it was hard to find the fish. Now in my onion as a cook for over 30 years in all kinds of restaurants. What this location did was slice the fillets in half . That's how thin the fish was in all that breading. And to top it off he charged us for the coleslaw as well. I will never eat there again. Worst fish and chip place I have ever been don't eat there, save your money. And maybe try C Lovers . There really good .

Love this place, the best batter, thick potato for dipping and amazing deal. Love the owners they are so nice and friendly, always welcoming and happy to help. Love it, be sure to get there early for fresh lunch special in under 10 minutes. That’s faster than a pizza!

Huge portions on the cod sandwich with good price! Friendly staff and the decorations are vintage and fishing related, classic chip shop vibes.. Certified by two englishmen to be authentic northern style shop (only mild negative as midlands blokes is gravy only no curry sauce) 5/5 will be back 👍

A Long-Standing Fish&Chips spot. Cook/Owner is a very hard worker and nice person.
I specifically enjoyed the coleslaw and the Fish the most.
10/10 For the food, cook/server, and atmosphere.
This order is: 2 small coleslaw, 1 popcorn shrimp, Side of gravy, 2 Fish&Chips Lunch Special (2 pieces fish + fries), and we had a root beer each. This was under 50$ with tip. We had leftovers, too!
If I was going in with more than 3-4 people, I’d call ahead to advise the staff.

Worst fish and chips I've ever had. Large portions, however Fries were like Rubber and Halibut was dry..and I'd say old or freezer burnt? I only had a few mouthful and hoping I don't get sick. I ordered take out..standing waiting for my order the restaurant is older, outdated and dirty. Regret ordering here and definitely would not reccommend.

We order from here often. We usually upgrade the fish to the halibut and get the family pack of 10 pieces. It’s not noted on the board of the cost of the fish increase but it’s double (125.00 or so with tax) for the family meal. Three orders of chips are plenty and we enjoy the coleslaw. Will continue to order from here they are very kind, the fish portions are extra large it seems and the price is good for all the food you get. The cod and the halibut are both very good and very largely portioned. We sometimes reheat the chips to get them crispier when we do take out. It’s a little dated inside for sit in but it’s a classic fish and chip place with lots of nostalgia and they do serve quickly. 5/5!
