Pre-order or bulk buy at Murchie’s “OG discount” at Semiahmoo? Watch your math. I ordered a 5 lb sack, was charged $23.95/lb — more per gram than their 12-oz bags (which retail online for ~$15.95). Don’t assume “bulk = cheaper.” Be vigilant.

The store and staff is very nice, but I have bought about 10 different varieties of teas there over the years and the black teas are weak and lack a flower note. Even earl grey? They all get tossed with in a month, stale, flavourless. Great ice tea, some herbals and cocoa though

I was really disappointed with my visit to Murchie’s Coffee. The staff came across as very unwelcoming right from the start. When I ordered a mint tea, the employee seemed confused and asked, “WHAT?” When I repeated “mint tea,” she just said “Ah,” and corrected me by calling it “peppermint.” It felt rude and dismissive rather than helpful. Definitely not the warm, friendly service I expected. Definitely NOT coming back.

The counter staff is incredibly slow and unorganized. It was 45 minutes for 3 regular coffee, 2 pre-made sandwiches and a danish. Absolutely ridiculous. A waste of time and money.

Great selection of both loose and bagged teas.
They also brew one of the best Americanos around. They have tables, so you can sit and enjoy a fresh made coffee and a baked item.

One star down, only for a paper plate for my croissant. Besides that, the atmosphere inside is pretty cute, and the coffee is good.

While I like the scones and atmosphere at Murchies, I recently had a terrible customer service experience with purchasing a gift card. When my giftee tried to use it in the store, it was rejected and when I contacted the office to ask for a refund, they offered no solution other than to tell me the card was loaded.

Stupendous store. I love their selection of coffee beans and their coffee/tea merchandise. I bought a bag of their whole beans and a ceramic coffee carrier. The place even has a cafe booth to order fresh coffee and baked goods. The workers were especially nice. If you are ever at the White Rock mall, you should check this store out.

Excellent, extensive selection of very high quality teas. The employees that assisted me today were helpful and knowledgeable. I really appreciate the Murchie's in this shopping center. I love the loose Earl Grey Lavender! It is clean tasting and delicious.
