We were seated at a table for three, but the server only provided water for me and didn’t offer refills. I explained that my friends were just using the washroom, yet no additional water was brought. The washrooms themselves were also poorly maintained. I ordered the ratatouille hash, but the vegetables were undercooked and the dish lacked flavor.

Place looks nice and staff is very friendly but quality of food was not very good and horrible value. We had the honey garlic wings, nachos and bbq pork rib hash. The wings were good. The bbq pork rib hash had very little bbq sauce and wasn’t a typical hash. Most of the “smashed potatoes” in them weren’t very smashed and the flavour was lacking. We had asked if the nachos had jalapeño’s which the waitress originally said she thought they did but later came back and said they didn’t and would be $3 extra. When the nachos came they had no toppings at all (aside from the pickled jalapenos sprinkled on top) and very little cheese. Very basic and little effort on making the nachos. They brought us some melted cheese on the side after but that got hard fast and wasn’t the same. We had also ordered apple juices for the kids which came in very large glasses and were told the kids sized juices only came with the kids meal. The juice’s were $5.50/ea. Coffee also did not include refills. I would not go again.

Was having a meeting with my mental health worker we were kicked out for not ordering coffee fast enough for them extremely pushy and rude staff members avoid this place for meetups for sure

We’ve been regulars at this café for a long time — brunch, dinner, and even frequent takeout for desserts. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was very disappointing.

We ordered the Shrimp Glazed Pasta. My son ate most of the pasta but left the shrimp. My husband tried two at the start, which seemed fine. Towards the end of the meal, I decided to finish the shrimp so it wouldn’t go to waste, but the one I ate had a very bitter, unmistakably “off” taste. The aftertaste confirmed it was bad. I asked my husband to taste the last one, and he immediately spat it out, also saying it was spoiled.

We reported this to our server, who was polite and apologetic. She offered to remake the pasta or apply a discount, but since we were nearly done with the meal, we declined. We specifically asked if she could show the shrimp to the chef to confirm. She came back later saying the chef checked and there was “no issue,” while still apologizing for our experience. That felt dismissive, as though the problem was brushed aside and the only solution was a discount — which made us feel as if they assumed we were just fishing for one.

As long-time customers, it was really disappointing that food quality concerns were not taken seriously. Mistakes happen in any restaurant, but when a genuine issue like bad shrimp is brought up, the proper response should be to acknowledge it, investigate thoroughly, and reassure the customer it won’t happen again — not just dismiss it with a small discount.

We left feeling uneasy and undervalued as regular customers. Sadly we wont be eating there anytime soon.

Food was delicious, especially the Funga pizza and Pork belly with pureed Kimchi. However cakes are a bit overpriced. Our server was very pleasant and food prices are fair. This is a hidden gem in South Surrey. A must try! ❤️

The food was ok, but the service was horrible. This affected our overall view. I ordered a salad with my sandwich, but I got lettuce and a drizzle of dressing. Not worth eating. No one came to see how our first bits were or to refill water glasses. We sat for the longest time with our finished plates in front of us. We asked for our bill and waited and waited. The restaurant was not busy. Only half a dozen tables were occupied with an average of 2 people per table. I saw 4 servers so no reason for the poor service. They didn't seem motivated to do their jobs. Won't be returning.

I visited this restaurant two days in a row. Yesterday, I had pasta and a kids’ meal. The food was delicious, and the server who attended to us was very friendly, which made the experience enjoyable.

Today, I ordered pork ribs and the Chicken French Toast. Once again, the food was great. The server who seated me at the beginning was warm and welcoming. However, when it came time to pay, a different server with a ponytail assisted me. I paid my bill and left a 15% tip. Unlike the server from the previous day who respectfully turned away during payment, this server stood right in front of me and watched as I entered my tip and payment details, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

After paying, I politely asked if she could help me pack the sweet toast separately, since my utensils were covered in savory sauce. She immediately refused, saying bluntly, “We don’t do that,” without offering any explanation or softening her tone. While she did bring me a pair of tongs afterward, which I appreciated, her initial reaction felt dismissive and cold.

I think the restaurant should consider providing better communication and service etiquette training for the staff. Simple courtesy and empathy can make a big difference in customer experience. The reason I returned today was because of the great service and tasty food yesterday. Unfortunately, today’s service left me feeling disappointed.

It was the one of the best restaurants l’ve visited! The atmosphere was peaceful, fancy, costumer service was friendly and kind. Most importantly, the food was absolutely amazing!! Not like other restaurants, sauce, meat and everything wasn’t too stimulating! Not too strong but perfectly combined with the dish! I loved it here
