Grew up my entire life in Surrey. Have dined at the best in the lower mainland and Vancouver proper over the decades from the best holes in the wall to your typical bougie affair. Believe me when I say I’m incredibly proud to recommend one of the absolute best experiences in BC in my own backyard. Service, atmosphere, and the food are top notch. This is real French cuisine with a great menu. We enjoyed their anniversary chef’s picks and trusted that the food and service would be great.
Despite the cozy dressed up character-home setting the place still embodies the real spirit of Surrey while celebrating French cuisine in the scrappiest heart on your shirt sleeve part of the lower mainland in one set and setting.

I went to celebrate Galentines with my best friend. It was our first time at the restaurant and we absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and our server was very attentive. Shout out to Ty for being so personable and making delicious desserts! Would highly recommend a visit!

This is our go to restaurant to celebrate special events. We went there for Valentine’s Day and usually service and food is not as good on these special occasions but that was not the case for us even though they were very busy. An excellent French dining experience.👌🏼👏🏼🫶🏻

Service and food were excellent. The steaks were done exactly as requested and cheaper than typical change restaurants like Cactus Club and Joey's etc. Parking can be a little difficult if it is really busy.

I was excited to bring our family to experience the fine dinning offered at Old Surrey we had enjoyed on a previous occasion. We were looking forward to the special experience of having the salad and ice cream prepared table side. We came for their fine food of course but also for the culinary show. We were served by a young lady and young man. Both were efficient but the warm friendliness we had experienced before was not evident tonight. Everyone at our table very much enjoyed the food prepared by the kitchen. The filet was prepared to our specifications and delicious. I was disappointed by the Cesare salad which was prepared at our table. I don't know if the ingredients' proportion was off or if using different ingredients altogether but the salad I was served was soggy and very vinegary. It did not taste like a fresh made Cesare salad should. This was not the same experience as on previous occasion. Also I'm not sure what cheese was used in this salad but it was long stranded and converged into curdled clumps which I left on my plate.. Not at all to my taste. I'm surprised I was not asked if there was a problem. But I did not comment to the server at the time. The ice cream desert made at table side was entertaining but lacked the rich Bailey's flavour as in our previous experience. Having said this, we will return to see if we can recapture our previous experience. I would still recommend the Old Surrey as a place to celebrate your special occasion.
