We decided to have our company Christmas dinner at The Old Surrey Restaurant this year rather than hosting in our home, as in previous years. To our delight, we had our own private room and our server, Mary, went above and beyond to make our evening special. The food was fantastic and the portions were generous. Thank you so much to Mary, the Chefs, and all of the other people working in the background! We will be returning, hopefully sooner than next Christmas season!

Enjoyed a quiet dinner with friends. The lighting could have been lower. Stand out was the beet salad, nicely split in two. Table service for our friends Caesar salad was performed with a smile. Less friendly was our server ?Natalia.. my spouse commented that she looked like she’d rather be elsewhere. Not a smile or any interest.. even bring a pepper shaker ( because ‘the grinder has to stay on the cart’) seemed to be a favour. I finally asked for refills when three of our water glasses were empty.
Decent wine selection and beer on draft.
Our mains ( both duck) were large portions but overdone and we could not taste the cassis in the cassis gravy. Complimentary amuse bouche was a nice fluffy puff pastry. Overall a solid choice for a quiet French meal in Surrey. The entrance to their parking is poorly marked and extremely easy to miss.

This place was amazing. Table service was a crazy good experience. Cesar salad and Chateaubriand is the way to go. One downside is that the restaurant is not accessible in any way. I’m an above knee amputee and depending how I’m feeling I’ll use a wheelchair sometimes. When we booked our reservation on “open table” there was no mention of it being non accessible. I’m glad that I decided to wear my prosthetic leg, even though the stairs are not very friendly, it was worth the climb. Even with the lack of accessibility I will definitely go back for more! Besides that(which isn’t their fault at all) it was a great experience. Go and enjoy!

This is one of our favourite restaurants! We always try to catch their specials, but also go for mosr of our birthdays, anniversaries or other events. Food is excellent, atmosphere is classy, and the service is superb!

Very quiet with a vintage vibe. The wine flight is a great choice. And the table side crepes provide a nice show with dessert
