Worst fish and chips around.
This is the best way to get disappointed on the beach. The Cod was a mashed consistency and tasted like frozen pre-battered fish. Chips were meh, and they served Kraft tartar sauce. I was so appalled at the poor quality of the food that I decided to perform an experiment and buy a 1 piece fish and chips at the Hooked Fish Bar across the street for $2 more. The competition had amazing proper fish and chips with restaurant made tartar and a complementary coleslaw that almost made up for the disaster at Red Baron. Not worth getting ripped off trying to save a few bucks at Red Baron.

1 scoop of ice cream is $5.95, but if you don't want it served directly into your mouth or hand, you need to pay another $.25 for a regular cone or cup. Its another $.95 if you want a waffle cone. The price seemed typical until we saw how very small the scoop was.
One of our scoops was the very bottom of the barrel and tasted stail. We brought it to their attention, but they refused to give a refund.
We won't go again.

Dude… how do you mess up fish and chips on a beach??? Me and my buddy’s ordered there first of all the service was awful. Dude couldn’t have been younger than 70 taking our order kept messing it up and getting snippy with us when we corrected him. 42 dollars later I’m met with the most depressing sad soulless gross freezer burnt fish and fries I’ve ever had in my entire life. It was like a long stale McDonald’s filet of fish patty but worse somehow. The fries were somehow under and over done not even a sneeze of salt. Pre packaged tartar sauce that was warm. Oh and as someone who’s worked in food service his entire life I know for a fact every single thing on that burger was from Costco. 15 dollars for a miserable flabby patty and some wilted lettuce and relish is honestly more saddening than upsetting. What these guys have done to this place is one for the books. RIP red baron you will be missed

I swear they decreased the price - probably for summer. There are many, many flavours to choose from. The service is really efficient and the portion sizes are reasonable. Red Baron is the most affordable and reliable ice cream establishment in Crescent Beach.

I used to come here when I was a kid it was my favourite place for fish and chips and ice cream! I live out of country now and when I brought my family 15 years later to my favourite spot I got some of the worst food and service ever. Why are people so rude that own businesses in Vancouver,white rock and crescent beach. What happend to you BC? The place I love is gone .
Skip the fishes!?!? Seriously folks, don’t even think about getting the fish and chips. The cod was like an oversized fish finger. And the chips tasted like they were baked McCains product. It’s a pity this location isn’t serving a higher integrity product. The views at Crescent Beach deserve better food.
