Worst Experience – Extremely Disappointing
I had a very bad experience at Royal Paan in Surrey. While eating pani puri, we found hair inside the pani puri, which was completely unacceptable and unhygienic. We immediately showed it to the staff, but they did not apologize, explain, or even acknowledge the issue properly.
Because of this, we could not continue eating the pani puri and left it unfinished. Despite this serious problem, we were still charged the full price for the entire meal, which was very disappointing and unprofessional.
Hygiene and customer service were clearly lacking. Finding hair in food is not a small issue, and the way it was handled made the experience even worse. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

Honestly we had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The dosa was perfectly crispy and full of authentic South Indian flavor — one of the best we’ve had in a long time. The paan at the end was a refreshing treat, full of taste and beautifully prepared. And the falooda was just the cherry on top — rich, colorful, and absolutely delicious!
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. The atmosphere was cozy and clean, making it a great spot for family or friends to enjoy a good meal. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!

I walked into the paan shop expecting a casual post-meal mouth freshener. What I got instead was a full-blown Bollywood experience in my mouth.
The paan guy (who I now refer to as the Leaf Whisperer) asked me if I wanted “Meetha” or “Saada.” I panicked and said, “Surprise me.” Bad idea. Or…best idea?
He slapped that betel leaf down like he was dealing cards at a Vegas table. Cashews, tutti-frutti, coconut, syrup, some mystery pink goo—he stacked it all like a Jenga tower, folded it like origami, and shoved it into my mouth with the confidence of a man who’s done this a thousand times. And then said, “Don’t chew. Just feel.”
Friends, I felt. I transcended.
There was sweetness, crunch, a hint of mint, a questionable clove, and then—BAM!—a sudden explosion of rose essence so intense I momentarily astral projected to a Mughal garden.
10 minutes later, I was smiling uncontrollably, high on fennel seeds and joy, with red spit like a vampire who just got back from brunch.
Would I do it again? Absolutely. Twice.

The girl with long hair who was serving us was very unprofessional and gave extremely poor service – she was inattentive, slow, and didn’t seem interested in helping at all. On top of that, the rabdi they served was terrible: watery, lacking flavor, and nowhere close to authentic taste. Honestly, I expected much better, but both the service and the food completely let me down. Would not recommend this place based on my visit

The quality of the food here has really gone downhill. We ordered falooda and the taste was off—three of us ended up feeling sick afterward. Even worse, when the staff prepare paan they don’t wear gloves. In Canada, Fraser Health requires gloves for any food handled directly, yet when we politely reminded the staff, they just laughed and ignored us. It’s no surprise customers can get sick. I will not be coming back, and I recommend refusing any paan if it isn’t prepared with gloves. for sure fraser health will be notified asap
