I was really looking forward to trying Sabai Thai in the Guildford area, but unfortunately the food was extremely disappointing, especially for the $85 I spent on just three dishes.
The red curry had almost no chicken and was mostly bumbu and watery sauce. The flavour was very bland, nothing like authentic Thai curry. The pineapple fried rice was dry, overloaded with peanuts, and the taste was completely off. And the pad Thai was by far the worst. It made with ketchup, with a strong smell and taste that were honestly disgusting. We couldn’t even eat it and ended up throwing it away.
I was so excited to find a Thai place in Surrey, but this experience was really sad and frustrating. I won’t be ordering from here again.

We ordered food for my birthday and we found a bug in the food. Totally grossed us out and threw it all away. Last time we ordered take out..half of it spilled in our car, due to not probably sealed.

First time here and the food was amazing! Our server Manop was super friendly and really took care of us. If you want Thai-style dishes you will need to ask, or else it’ll be “westernized” to suit locals. We ordered a pak gra pao and pad thai. Delicious! Overall we were very impressed. Will definitely come back for more!

The food was good and we ordered a lot, but the behavior of the guy was really bad! Will not go back, such a bad experience! He literally attacked us and started shouting because we did not “tip” him because of his poor customer service. Such a disappointment!!!

I used to like ordering from this place, One of my favourite things was sauce, Apparently, I don’t get that anymore. Last time I ordered it was such a disappointment. I did not receive any of that great sauce. Also they didn’t ask me how hot I wanted. It was quite bland Today I made a point of asking for the sauce. I got it one whole teaspoon and a half.🤷🏻♀️… Which is just a tease at least I asked for it to be spicy not as spicy as it should’ve been , this place used to be really good. I’m wondering if it’s changed owners cause it’s now a disappointment. I looked it up. It has changed ownership. That explains a lot! All is not lost. There is still a great Thai food restaurant that I love .Have to travel a little ,3629 W. Broadway called a Taste Of Thai…… Been going there for over 35 years same owner he’s changed locations same Food same owner Food is brilliant! You get all the hot sauce you want! Thai food fans,check it out first pic is a little bit of sauce that I was given by Saba Thai….( I called to complain, I was told oh yes, you just get a little you have to pay for it…. I would’ve had I been given the option….. I was just used to the previous owner) The other pics of delicious food are from a Taste Of Thai!
